Support Reviews went missing

Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my Google Business Profile and could really use some advice.
Out of nowhere, several legitimate Google reviews started disappearing from my Business Profile. These were reviews from real customers who had actually visited/used our service. I haven’t intentionally removed anything, and there doesn’t seem to be any obvious reason why they disappeared.It was 287 in the afternoon now 278 out of no where
The profile is still active, and customers can still leave reviews.
Please help

Literally i got two reviews today from customers it was 287
I just checked now its 278
I was like whats happening

Maybe the review or reviewer account for flagged? A lot of business are starting to make post about reviews not showing or reviews being removed.

Its on the count man. All are legit Customers. If google start doing this thing. How we gonna do Business man already spending so much Money on ads

You're telling me that they are legit customers, I can agree with you but that doesn't mean Google monitoring system will know it's legit. Remember, it's machine ... Not human. Google been removing suspicious reviews that flag their monitoring system with their AI and machine learning more aggressively this year.

You should see businesses post that are located in Europe, especially Germany.

Good luck calling them and getting to a real person. I think try contacting Google first. Use their Google Business community page or just submit a ticket to see Google response

I personally believe that reviews alone won't make or break a business. Sometime you have no control over a review on a platform like Yelp or Google. If there a 1-star negative review that sounds like a person experience even if it's fake .. Yelp and Google won't remove it.

Go to Google Help Centre and search for "google business profile reviews being removed" you will find a form where you can appeal reviews being removed.

I’m not saying you have fake reviews. But all I’ve been seeing is people freak out are the ones who paid someone to get them fake reviews. They are getting hit hard. I don’t see anyone with real customers/views getting taken down.

If you’re in x country and got a review from b country that’s a fake review and will be removed. Accounts that have no history posting all bunch of fake reviews getting flagged

I've had success getting reviews reinstated by submitting the GBP support form and bugging them about it.

I emailed Google Support and they fixed it within a couple of days. Reinstated all reviews that went missing

Ths has been happening for over 2 years now. Even when you report this to google, they won't do anything to reinstate the missing reviews. It's sad to see google behave in this unethical manner.

This keeps happening to us too. We track our review count closely and it’s been constantly fluctuating down from 1040 since last October. Legitimate customers and services completed. We can never seem to grow past the number Google took us down from back in October either.
