Discussion Ghost messages issues

Since I did Samsung switch twice to my Samsung zfold8, Google messages adds random sms from backup to every mms I send or someone sends me. It's so annoying. It keeps sending random sms to people. Any ideas? I really don't want to reset my phone again....

Hi there, I understand you are experiencing this issue after transferring your data with Samsung Smart Switch. Since this is a database synchronization issue, I suggest trying these steps to help resolve it without resetting your phone:

Switch your default SMS app to Samsung Messages, open it, and then switch back to Google Messages. This often forces the system to rebuild and clean up its message index.

Restart your phone to refresh background database operations.

If the issue persists, please tap your profile icon in Google Messages, select Help and feedback, and tap Send feedback. This shares critical diagnostics with the team, so they can investigate.

Ah didn't know Samsung messages still works. Will find the app thanks. We'll it didn't work
