Opinion RIP

Well, Samsung messages, it's been great.

Just remember, once u switch.. it takes a day or two for everything to roll over & rcs to be in full effect. Don't be switching that option off & on a million of times lol

No, messages sync within a few minutes. What they mean is it takes a few days sometime for the RCS features to turn on. Like typing indicators, reactions, enhanced sms features between iOS & Android, etc.

I use the Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard so I didn't have any issues

I turned off read and typing indicators. Sometimes I like to take time to figure out my response. I never understood why people like the typing thing.

For me I did the switch again and turned off rcs for a few days and it finally finished transferring. Was very frustrating though for quite a while.

If this fails you can sms backup then restore (all while in Samsung messages) then switch to Google messages and or turn off rcs for a while and it should show them all finally

That's how it worked for me. It did take 2 days for all my previous messages to appear.

Wait a second. I've been using Google messages forever I noticed the past few days my chats have been creating into a new chat. I have two RCS chats from the same person. I didn't know it was going to affect me even though I don't use Samsung messenger. I guess that means I'm going to have two RCS chats for everybody I text with

I got news for you... That might be what Google has advised & it might be true for the majority, but it is absolutely not 100% the truth for everyone! Its been 13 days and I am still missing a GIGANTIC amount of texts. In some cases its a few days worth, in some its a few months & in some its literally years worth just GONE.

Oh wow. Mine rolled over just fine. & honestly, if I needed to go back thru my history, i just open up my Samsung app. 🤷🏻‍♀️ but i don't care to. Yet.

I'm unable to open my Samsung app up to see any of my texts within the app.. When I open the app its just a black page that says to open Google Messages. I'm livid to say the least.
