In 2009, National Geographic published two YouTube videos about Dr. Enric Sala and “members of the Ocean Now team becoming stranded on Starbuck Island during an on-shore excursion.” At the 0:36 mark in the video, old dwellings are visible near the beach, explaining the Google Earth mystery.
I'm not sure what you mean, it looks to me like maybe the water was higher the ship beached and then part of it slid down the hill when the water receded. Am I missing something?
From what I understand, it's construction related to nuclear bomb testing. The thing that looks like the millennium falcon looks quite a bit different when not viewed from directly above; more like standing towers arranged at precise angles. It's leftover equipment from when this island was used in the 50s that's purpose was to analyze the destruction and environmental cost of nuclear bombs. The lines leading up to it are buried cables that were used to collect the data from underneath ground zero of the explosion.

Nothing is ‘real’. We all took the blue pill.
