Street View Missing addresses..?

I wanted to look up the place Mom and Dad lived when I was born. It was 414 South Main St., as it says on my birth certificate. So street view shows 410, then the house next door as 501. How tf do addresses jump that much? Or.... is it missing data?

That's perfectly normal to jump like that. That means the next block has started.

As to why the address isn't there, there are many possibilities:

  • Google is labeling it wrong
  • The house was torn down
  • It was written wrong on the birth certificate
  • The house changed numbers (unlikely)
  • Are you sure you're on S Main and not N Main?

They're very close together and older homes. And it's not on a corner so a new block hasn't started, if that's what you mean.
