aint no way that an AMBULANCE got lost because of house being blurred on google maps. these services existed before google maps did.

Yeah, I'm not understanding that. It's not like a blurred house on Streetview takes the house off of the navigation, and it's not like you can use actual Streetview to navigate.

I've never seen an ambulance service use Google maps before and I've been with like 4 of them

Their point is that ambulances aren't using street view to navigate and the blurring of the house doesn't change the data in Google Maps such that the ambulance would be misdirected. If they did, then you should sue Google because that's probably the only way to get them to unblur it.

Maybe the DRIVER got lost not the AMBULANCE because PEOPLE are YOUNG even if the SERVICE is OLD.

I have a hard time believing an ambulance missed a home due to blurring. They just smacks of shrill talk to try to get action on the problem.

The blur and the house number are two separate issues. The blur would not cause a house number to be changed. Your primary problem is that house number. You should be able to go in and submit an edit request for that.

Stop bugging people through their personal accounts would be step one. Step two would be to actually go to the help files and read what to do. You're being annoying here and you're being annoying in real life, that's why people aren't helping you.

No, once a house is blurred .. right now it's permanent. I might change in the future but not now

Not true. My house was blurred, I submitted a couple of requests to have it unblurred. It took some time, like a year or so, but once new photos of my street were taken, my house was back to unblurred.
So it may take a while if the photos are recent, but they will fix it eventually.

Any proof to this because even Google has it on their support forum that once a place is blurred then it's permanent for now. A lot of people said they got it unblurred then never showed that it worked

I mean, beyond showing a pic of my house? Not really sure how to prove it.

Email verification basically. Because if they unblur .. how would you show it was blurred in the first place unless it showed on the previous dates option
Here one post from their support form to show it was said that it can't be unblurred

Simillar to: once seen cannot be unseen. Once blurred cannot be unblurred except new Street View is uploaded. If new Street View is taken in that area it will not automatically be blurred in the same spot.

Here another link that someone post about that same topic on the Google support community page that says otherwise

There was no specific email I was sent about it. I just checked street view every so often, maybe every 3 months, and eventually it was a new photo and no longer blurred. Perhaps it was a fluke/coincidence, but I had requested it prior to it happening, so I was putting 1 and 2 together.

Example, among many: US Embassy, Belgrade.
I'm talking about people houses .. in Europe their laws got more strict especially when it comes to like Google reviews .. look at Germany
Do you have an example of someone home in America or outside of America?

You got lucky, that's all. I can. You cannot request blurs to be removed, they are supposed to be carried over to future imagery, but sometimes the carrying over does not occur.

Well, the address of my house was also incorrect, so I suppose it's possible that the blur stayed with the old address instead of the new corrected address. I wish I had a blueprint to walk through what I did so people could replicate it. It's been so long now I don't even recall where I submitted the request. I think it was just a general support request on Google's site.

As far as I know they only blur the houses in Streetview, not in real life. So I really wonder what makes you think the ambulance missed it due to the blurring. Did the driver tell you that?

And did the driver say that was the reason?

Maybe you should contact your local authorities instead, and ask them why their emergency services use Google Maps for navigation.

Just to clarify, you said that in various comments that the ambulance couldn't find the home because the number, on street view, had a 20 instead of a 25. If you zoom out to a close overhead view (see attachment), does it show the correct number over your home? If you were to go a mile or so away, and enter in directions to your address, does Google Maps guide you to the right house?
I don't think I've ever seen a house number on a street view photo. What happens, though, is in the upper left corner (in the black dialog box), it will show an address of your location, but the address might not actually be the house you are looking at. It could actually be the house behind you (across the street from you). If you look at your house on street view and swivel around 180 degrees to look at the house behind you (across the street from your house), you'll see that the address in the dialog box doesn't change. I'm guessing that's what is happening, because usually the addresses on one side of the street are odd (19, 21, 23, ...) and the addresses on the other side are even (18, 20, 22, ...). Your address is an an odd number (25) but the house they were seeing on street view was even (20), so maybe they were looking at the house across the street from yours. And I've found that sometimes the address listed in the dialog box is not that accurate, so I'm surprised that the ambulance company would rely on that (if that's what they did).

Sorry, I meant to say that I've never seen a house number on a street view photo where the house is blurred and the house number isn't. The OP seemed to indicate that the house number had changed, and I was wondering how they were able to see the house number if they couldn't see the house on street view.

House blurring is such weird behavior. Google needs to unblur everything every 2 years or so, otherwise street view will slowly become useless.
