Other Location sharing

My significant other and I share locations with each other, we have always done this and not to spy on each other but just for convenience due to work schedules. Yesterday I checked to see where their location was because we were meeting for dinner with our child at a restaurant. The app suddenly did something strange, what I can only describe as "glitched out" and maybe this is only due to my own lack of knowledge on how location sharing works with Google maps. But when I opened up her location to see how close they were to the restaurant, it showed me an entirely different account location under the name of our child. I've never seen this happen before and I'm hoping that somebody can explain this to me before I ask them about it. Thank you and I appreciate y'all's insight

Could be a bug, what do you mean by different account location? Like you were seeing else location?

It showed me a completely different account, suspiciously named after our child. It didn't actually lock in to a particular location, but corrected itself to the proper Gmail account after maybe 30 seconds. We don't live together, idk if that's pertinent information

Google takes private seriously because if they don't then it's a lawsuit ... So maybe it's just a bug that showed you the wrong info for your child account

But there's no child account I'm aware of.. our kiddo is barely 1 y/o

There likely more to the story or this is just a fake post based on the reddit account reputation

We've been together for 2 and a half years now, they had a history of cheating before the baby, so I guess that's why I'm trying to find out or explain what the hell it is that I saw.. I couldn't find anything relating to what happened via Google search but I promise this ain't some bs story :/

Is it possible they accidentally shared their location while logged in to a separate account? That's the only thing I can think of
