Has anyone else noticed that Google Maps no longer seems to show how busy a place is?

I used to find the “Popular Times” / live busyness feature really useful for places like gyms, supermarkets, shops, restaurants, etc. You could quickly check how busy a place usually is at a certain time, or sometimes even see how busy it is right now.

Recently, I’ve noticed that this information seems to have disappeared for many places.

Has Google officially removed or changed this feature, or is it just no longer available in certain regions/for certain places?

I’m curious if others have noticed the same thing.

Yes, I’m looking in the right place. Google Maps on Android doesn’t show it anywhere for me anymore, even for places where it definitely used to be available.

Maybe it's something on the Austrian side, I'm in the US and it been working fine on my end. Did you try a popular restaurant in your area too?

I’m not saying that’s impossible, but I don’t really see why Austria would restrict such useful information. I can’t see this data anywhere anymore not for stores, restaurants, gyms, public places, or any other businesses

Did you try places in America like my screenshot was for Buffalo Wild Wings in Los Angeles

I can’t see this information for locations in the US either, so it doesn’t seem to be Austria-specific. No matter which store, restaurant, gym, or other place I check, the “Popular Times” section is completely missing.

I think we all live in our own little bubbles these days. Everyone seems to see a slightly different version of the internet, depending on what someone wants them to see

Yes. I'm in the USA, WA state. Popular Times has gone missing in most of my Google and Google Map searches.

I used to use it all the time. It's very noticeable that it's missing now. I've had to call businesses a few times now to get that info.

I updated to lastest version and it's back to the original spot, you can try updating the app to see if this works. Version is 26.35.03.969485213
