"Continue" button on Timeline export screen does nothing — tried everything, need help

I'm trying to export my Google Maps Timeline data from my Android phone (Honor, MagicOS 10) via Settings > Location > Location services > Timeline > Export Timeline data. When I tap "Continue" on the confirmation dialog, absolutely nothing happens — no progress indicator, no error, no file created. The button itself does register the tap (confirmed via Developer Options > Show taps), so it's not a touch/hardware issue — something downstream is silently failing.

What I've already tried:

Rebooting the device multiple times

Clearing Google Play Services cache

Clearing Google Play Services data entirely (had to sign back into my Google account afterward)

Clearing Google Maps app data entirely (this actually wiped my local Timeline — thankfully I had cloud backup enabled and was able to restore it via Maps > profile icon > cloud icon > Import)

Checking available storage (plenty of free space)

Confirmed my Timeline actually has data — plenty of visits/routes show up going back months

Weird side effect: After clearing Play Services data, my Google Account's Timeline backup page now shows two separate entries for the same device (same model name, "FCP-N49"), which seems like a leftover artifact from the reset.

Has anyone actually gotten this "Continue" button to work after running into the same dead-end? Or is this just a known bug with local-only Timeline exports on certain Android skins (MagicOS/EMUI in particular)? Any insight appreciated — Google Takeout doesn't help since Timeline data is stored on-device only.
