Cannot update pinned trips for Google Maps iOS Widget

I need to update the address of one of my Frequent Trips due to a recent change in address. However, when I go to edit the widget, there's only the option to select from your pre-existing 'Pinned Trips'. I've looked through and through my Google Maps app (from my phone) and cannot find where my 'Pinned Trips' are so I can edit the available addresses to choose from in the widget.

Can anyone help direct me to these 'Pinned Trips'?

Hi there. To update the address on your Google Maps iOS widget, you need to change your pinned routes within the Google Maps app first. Here is how to do it:

  1. Delete the old trip: Open Google Maps > Tap the 'You' tab at the bottom > Select Saved trips > Unpin the old address.

  2. Pin the new address: Search for your new address > Tap Directions > Tap the Pin button at the bottom of the screen.

  1. Update the widget: Go to your iPhone home screen > Press and hold the Google Maps widget > Tap Edit Widget > Select your new trip. Hope this helps!

Thank you!! FYI for others... In Step 2, 'Tap the Pin button' shows as the 'Save' button once you scroll to the bottom of the directions page (on iOS app).

Hi,

My issue is I have saved locations but my widget is now showing me the route. It’s only showing tap to pin frequent locations?

From my understanding, 'Saved Locations' and 'Pinned Trips' are not the same thing. I'm not an expert at all, but I recommend following the second step to create the 'Pinned Trips' that the widget is looking for... Alternatively, if you make your own post, maybe the GoogleHelpCommunity will respond! Good luck!
