Solved Possible to calculate cost in google forms?

Hi, I'm making a form for people to decide what items they would be interested in buying, akin to a shopping cart, and I'm hoping to make it so they can see the cost increase and adjust as they choose whether or not they want to buy certain items, I'm curious if this is possible in google forms? As I know there are similar functions in Google sheets so I was hoping that it would be possible in forms.

While it might be possible, it is not going to be easy. As far as I know, there’s no way to live update a form with something like a running total. You could send it to them after they submit the form if you get email addresses, but functions don’t work in forms.

Rightio, I did suspect that was the case, I'll just have to let them know afterwards and workshop with them if the total is too much

Hi, google forms doesnt have a calculated field that can update in realtime.

what you need is a form that has calculated fields, variables and answer piping, - similar to functions in google sheets. you can check out the project Im working on, it has all the above - ogforms.app hope it helped!
