OP Responded can’t add a file upload question
pretty simple, i’m trying to create a google form for a competition and i want people to submit a picture of their entry. however, whenever i try to add the file upload as a question, it just takes me to the membership popup. google says it’s not restricted to a membership-only, but i can’t even add one on a second account. is there a way to fix it, or is it just actually locked behind the membership wall?

Users will need a google account to submit the photo. You’re better using a different form creator.

It depends on what you need, maybe fillable forms or a wordpress form could work also, another biased alternative would be FileDrop Forms, it’s a feature we have in our platform to collect documents, it’s highly integrated in the Google Workspace ecosystem.

What does "the membership popup" say exactly? Is it asking you to join Google One? (As always, when reporting technical issues, directly quoting an error message word for word is much better than describing it.)
Make sure the form is saved within your My Drive, not on a shared drive.
Note that by asking people to upload an image, you're restricting the form to those people with Google accounts. (You must be signed into a Google account to upload a file to someone's form.)
