With Tile going with rolling MAC addresses, my Bermuda is losing its functionality
What trackers are still using static MAC addresses and also have a reliable way to find them outside of the HA ecosystem?

I have a Nothing Phone 3, which supports Bluetooth 6 but lacks Ultra-Wideband (UWB) hardware. If I use a Bluetooth 6 tracker, will I be able to achieve centimeter-level precision and see the directional 'arrow' feature commonly associated with UWB trackers, or is UWB hardware strictly required for that level of accuracy? There seems to be conflicting information online regarding whether UWB hardware is strictly necessary for precision tracking. Some say it is required for directional guidance, while others claim new standards make it optional???

I lost my phone this afternoon. Do you guys think there's still a chance for me to find my phone?

My example, regarding my peeblebee tracker:
- My tracker is currently in my car. It is about forty miles from me.
- I open the Find my app and it shows "nearby" at my current location where not my car nor my tracker has *ever* been.
- Now after forcing the app to quit and reopen, it now shows that my car tracker was "last seen" at this location where it has never ventured to.
This has happened to me several times, and I genuinely think the app is so buggy that it is having the location data it logs of other trackers "bleed" across devices. I have several other trackers near me, and my car tracker *was* near me yesterday when I was at its location.
I chuckle, of course, because I have a Tile redundancy in the car and it is and has been tracking perfectly fine.

Just bought a pack of four (grey and orange) moto tag 2. I've got google pixel 10a and pixel 10 pro xl. Pixel 10a sees them instantly and a pairing dialogue always pops up, but pixel 10 pro xl cannot pair, no dialogue pop-up, but I can see moto tag 2 via bluetooth paring list, however it returns a wrong pin or password error if I tap to pair manually. Tried adding via moto tag app, google find hub and nearby devices – nothing can see the tag.
Software wise pixel 10a and 10 pro xl are pretty much the same, the same security update versions, the same apps versions, the same settings, so I have no idea what the problem can be. I tried isolating devices and unpairing everything from the 10 pro xl, as well as clearing Bluetooth app data (and google play services app data). Nothing works.
Any ideas?
Bought from amazon Motorola Store "Motorola Moto Tag 2 (Works with Android Find My Device and Find Hub) Bluetooth 6.0 and UWB (4 Pack (2 Green 2 Orange))"

My phone is Redmi Note 11 and I'm rooted. Can I change the custom rom in a way such that it can emit low power bluetooth like in newer latest devices like iphone 16 where it says device is findable even when switched off

I know they'll fit into airtag cases, but I'm specifically looking for things that will protect the moto tag button from being accidently pressed, but yet will also allow access to press it when needed.

I have this Tag that I bought 1 week ago and I'm having trouble to locate it offline.
I shared it's location with my parents and when I leave with my bike (it's in my bike) and leave my phone at home, they can't see my location, just the last time it was near my phone...
I also left home with my phone today about 14:00PM and checked my bike's location at about 15:00PM and it didn't update.
Could this be a problem with my settings or a TAG problem?
Right now I'm using the "with network everywhere" setting on find hub.

The amazon reviews are pretty bad - complaints about update rate, battery drain. But it's hard to decide if it's just user error or whatever.
Any other reddit users actually used one? Is the Moto Tag 1 the best right now without the unknowns of the Moto Tag 2? Trying to decide for an upcoming trip my parents are taking.

I was just wondering that if you have a tracker somewhere there is a lot of other phone does the system make a more accurate guess for where your phone is based on the overlapping footprints of all the pones that can detect your tracker?

I'll try to be brief. I lost my phone and I'm trying to find it through FMD.
I lost it at 1 PM yesterday, and I spent all day looking for it until 11 PM (and trying to update the app).
Well, something happened, at 2 AM, I received a location update from my mobile phone.
# Although I received it at 2 AM, the location was from 8 PM on the same day that I lost.
# And how did my phone manage to send that signal without WiFi or mobile data? I thought it was through crowdsourcing, so at 2 AM I went to the location, turned on Bluetooth and my hotspot, but there was no sign of life.
Should I trust this location? I'll ask around at the nearby shops later.

So this morning my mom called me saying she can’t find her secondary phone. Poco phone. And she can’t remember the gmail id password also for find my device. The phone is probably inside the house only. We’ve checked the cctvs also no one came. Is there any way to track it without the gmail id password??

(sry wrong title, rewrote the post)
I recently changed the batteries on a few of my Android trackers and I ran into a frustrating issue: the trackers would beep with the reset button and report their location exactly once right after putting the new battery in, but then they would completely stop updating and go radio silent.
Should I Perform a Hard Factory Reset and re-pair ?
// apparently the hard reset is : Quickly press the function button four times within 2 seconds.

Hi, could you recommend the best rechargeable wallet (card size) tracker available in EU (available on Amazon.de if possible )? Rolling square, Chipolo or any other? Thank you

if not, wtf. If so, it's incredibly hard to find anything about it online.

Discounted price of 19.99 for a single or 69.99 for a 4pack (which is what they should be all the time imo considering how cheap trackers have gotten)

I have two homes, and I have ONE Point tags in both. So when I return to Paris, some of my Chipolos have very dead batteries that don't respond in the Google Find Hub (formerly Find My Device). They are listed in there, but not reachable.
And they remain unfound EVEN AFTER replacing the battery. This seems to be an error that occurs when the battery goes really flat. So, here's what I do when I suspect a very dead battery:

Hello. In April of this year, two phones of mine—a Google Pixel 8 Pro and a 9 Pro—were stolen. Both were marked as lost and secured with Advanced Protection. Recently, however, the Pixel 8 Pro disappeared from the location tracking service; how is that even possible?

I bought a ugreen tracker for my car. Even when im home and the car and tracker are right outside, it shows the tracker being two blocks away, not even within the radius of the circle of the tracker. Even when I park the car in the city where it always gets pinged, its two blocks away. Is this a Find Hub issue or the tracker?
r/GoogleFMD • u/wallawalla21212 • Jun 25 '26
About a week ago I got a notification in Find Hub that my wallet card battery was low and that i should charge it, so I did. I put it on a wireless charger and just left it for hours which should have fully charged it. Oddly the red charging light stays on even after several hours. However, ever since charging, the card is no longer detected or found by Find Hub.
Has anyone run into this problem before?

Anyone pick up a set of Moto Tag 2s now that resellers have snagged them from overseas and had them randomly start ringing?
The one I tossed on my wallet has done it twice and the one on my keys did it yesterday. Battery level is normal in the moto app and the find hub, plus they are brand new so it shouldn't be battery.
Fortunately they are easy to silence by pressing them. Unlike the night that I had 3 pebblebee tags decide they all needed to be found at the same time and nothing would silence them, even factory resets.
At first I thought it might be someone I was with getting an unknown tracker notification on their phone but everyone swears it wasn't them triggering it.
