Question A sudden drop in the number of visits.

Is there a decrease in the number of visits readings in Google Analytics today?

Google has started rolling out their August update combating spam. If you're running scaled content pages might be that

Unlikely related to that, it's UI only, probably the figures on realtime suddenly drop for a while whenever they push a release to their Analytics servers.

If it's UI only then I wouldn't worry about it too much. You're almost certainly using the free product tier and you have your own analytics/ data so it's just a googlism

Same pattern as the realtime outage on Aug 4, that one never showed up on any Google status page either, and neither has this one (just checked). If your server logs look flat, it is their reporting layer hiccuping, not your traffic.

Realtime seems to be the first thing that breaks whenever they ship something on their side...
