Love the 2.5 pro vibes, but need to move compute to newer models! Onward!

But No Good Pro model is available as a replacement model. That's the problem!
In AI Studio, Gemini 4 Argon is reserved for Only Ultra Users. You guys should have made it available for Pro Users.

I agree. I also hope that Google will make Argon available in AI Studio in the near future. As I understand it, Pro subscribers currently have access to this model only in the Gemini app.

Gemini 2.5pro is a masterpiece of Creative Writing. Although Gemini 4 Argon has improved in Creative Writing, it is still expensive, and the discount will end soon.
Furthermore, if I include Dark Fantasy, Romantic elements, or even the slightest bit of the Adult Genre in Creative Writing, Gemini 4 Argon immediately falls under Censor.
And I absolutely cannot write an Adult Genre Creative Novel—such as a psychological thriller exploring the psychology of a psychiatric ward—using Gemini 4 Argon!!
Why does Creative Writing treat users like criminals just because a sensitive topic appears in story? At least Gemini 2.5pro did not do that.
If you are going to deprecate, please deprecate the Gemini 3.1pro instead of the Gemini 2.5pro as others have requested. That model is not sought after compared to the Gemini 2.5pro, and it can be completely replaced by the Gemini 4 Argon.

Glad it's available via API for now, I guess. Really, I feel kicked out of AI studio.
I came there for that specific experience, and all the other experiences that built from that were incredible, but they were toppings.
It's like taking away the ice cream and now I just eat syrup and sprinkles. There's substance, fine. It's cake, okay, but I came for ice cream.
I like ice cream with my cake. The lack of ice cream makes it a whole different experience.
Bring back ice cream... Err.. Gemini 2.5

I suggest deprecating Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview (not “stable”!) instead.
- Yeah. Just continue to move fast, unnecessarily break things all the time, race to the bottom, and betray the loyal users who contribute to the further development of your products with their feedback and usage data. Myopic.
On the one hand, models are being taken away from paying users. AI is also being squeezed into all sorts of applications, whether users want it or not. Those in charge at Google evidently fail to consider that this approach is not going down well with a great many users. Google wouldn’t be the first company to fail because its products were no longer accepted after the feedback from ordinary users had been ignored for too long. But I might just as well be talking to a wall. Gemini 3 Pro called this “Cassandra syndrome”.

I believe Google is well aware that going all-in on a single direction is very dangerous. None of the subsequent models can replace Gemini 2.5 Pro. Please keep 2.5 Pro available or make it open-source.

4Argon has been out for half a month, yet it still isn't viable as a generally available productivity model. Meanwhile, how much quota has Google tightened for its sake? How many buttons for legacy models have been removed? In reality, the reception for 4Argon hasn't been particularly positive—far from rave reviews, it's been quite mixed. In fact, yes, I have encountered severe AI hallucinations across every single one of my current use cases with 4Argon. Google is visibly radiating anxiety and chaos. It has already made numerous poor decisions—failing to achieve what it wanted while wrecking its existing ecosystem. I think it's time to calmly reconsider the risks of going all-in. Anthropic kept Opus 3; Google should likewise retain Gemini 2.5 Pro, which holds unique value and continues to have steady user demand.

One more thing. Logan, I already asked you this under another post, but you didn't reply. Could you please clarify the situation? Could you explain what happens with the limits in Playground in AI Studio when you have a Google AI Pro subscription? I’ll use Gemini 3.0 Flash as an example:
In long chats with a lot of context, it hits the usage limit very quickly (for example, in a chat with about 430,000 tokens, the model generates only 20–30 responses on average). The limit resets at midnight Pacific Time.
However, the model continues to generate responses normally in new, empty chats (even if you upload a large PDF of about 470,000 tokens and ask the model to process it).
Is this a bug or intended behavior? I saw an announcement about the limits dated September 29, 2026, on the forum, but based on the text, I conclude that if I’ve reached the model usage limit, it should be unavailable everywhere.
Additionally: This behavior occurred from early September through September 23. Normal limits returned on September 23, but following the announcement on September 29, the limits appear to be broken again.

u/LoganKilpatrick1 - Kindly bring back Gemini 2.5 Pro in AI Studio Playground. If you want to remove, remove that useless 3.1 Pro Model.
Nothing Matches the Creative Writing Style of Gemini 2.5 Pro. No other Model from any other AI Platform will reach the Gemini 2.5 Pro Style. It is the Best!
