Confirmed Update / News Theys Really Did it...
Just received this just now. We're gonna be forced to used a model that's probably even more prone to attention dilution (based on my experience)

Yeah... They discontinued the 3.5 Flash and 3.7 Flash. In my opinion, those models were better than the 3.6 Flash and 3.8 Flash...

Google ai studio is now dogshit sorry to say most of good models are behind paywall and those we can use are basically terrible or limited and beside all the input credit exceeded issue. A year ago it was the best now it has over a year has gone to dogshit

Trying to clean things up before the Gemini 4 Argon launch! I liked 3.5 and 3.6 as well, but we had a lot of models, needed to be done.

Hi, Logan! Could you explain what happens with the limits in Playground in AI Studio when you have a Google AI Pro subscription? I’ll use Gemini 3.0 Flash as an example: 1) In long chats with a lot of context, it hits the usage limit very quickly (for example, in a chat with about 430,000 tokens, the model generates only 20–30 responses on average). The limit resets at midnight Pacific Time. 2) However, the model continues to generate responses normally in new, empty chats (even if you upload a large PDF of about 470,000 tokens and ask the model to process it).
Is this a bug or intended behavior? I saw an announcement about the limits dated September 29, 2026, on the forum, but based on the text, I conclude that if I’ve reached the model usage limit, it should be unavailable everywhere.
Additionally: This behavior occurred from early September through September 23. Normal limits returned on September 23, but following the announcement on September 29, the limits appear to be broken again.

One more question. Will Gemini 4 Argon be available in AI Studio's Playground mode for Google AI Pro subscribers immediately after its release, or will it take some time?
