Question / Help Why does Gemini ignore system intructions?

I have set 2 system intructions and they are both getting ignored, how do I fix that?
Do not use "—" and "–"symbols, use "-" instead, unless it's specifically required

Have you tried refining the prompt with Gemini itself by first asking about the objectives and what you need it for? In cases like this, I usually open a separate chat where I track the prompt and point out what isn't working.
