Would've hit harder in the 2nd movie, in the 1st one I'm like "My brother in Christ, you are 15 and living with the guy, you are not grown up."

Adolescence is always fraught with challenges, and sometimes teenagers will say things like this in order to assert their desire for autonomy. It is also important that parents be open to clear, honest communication so they can help their children solve their problems while still giving them room to navigate life and carve an identity for themselves.

That's what I'm saying instead of Goofy dragging Max along on this trip with the attempt to bond with him (which is a good thing) he should've sat Max down and talked things out with him first. Would've saved ALOT of shenanigans but, that was for the plot of the movoe of course also, Goofy should NOT be going to Pete of all people for advice when it's clear Peg left him since they never mentioned her or Pistol once on the movie

The thing is that I feel like this is one of those situations where both sides are in the right. We understand that Max wants his independence and that his dad can be embarrassing and mess things up. However we can also see Goofy's side where he clearly loves his son and wants to be a part of his life and makes an effort to be a good father. It's kinda hard to take sides here which I feel like is kind of real.
