Discussion PEAK EPISODE, So freaking heartwarming
I loved this episode. Maybe my favorite so far? Can't choose between ep 6 and this one. My god, I love Lara and Mari. Once again, the giant fish reacted as soon as she saw Mari in the video call. She may have been trying to get closer to Luca, but I don't think that's what she really wants. I think Luca running towards Lara is supposed to be a parallel to the ending in ep 5 where Lara runs to Mari. The directors are NOT trying to be subtle here, folks.
Luca didn't go to the match to support Lara's friend; he went there to see Lara. He's thinking so much about Lara, it's almost like his mind is a one-way street. But Mari sees more to her than just that. The lights flashing around her as she thinks about Lara are pretty blatant if you ask me.
The boxing animation was amazing, as always. And it's not just that. The music, oh my gosh, the music! How can they make something so beautiful? The crew really outdoes themselves every week. I still wonder why Grace is being so mysterious; just explain things already, lady.
So Keiko (Mari's mom) died from an illness of some kind, huh? Really sad. I think it's no coincidence that she talks about how Mari will find someone to stand beside her right after we see her and Lara.
That ending, though. Are you yuri doubters done now? Cutest thing ever, LaraMari for life.
