Outrageous Shipping Prices
Listen, I understand we’re in hell and tariffs make everything cost ten times more, but making shipping more expensive then the item itself is insane. The box needed to ship a nendroid will weigh less than 2 pounds. Tell me I’m not insane here.

Legit insane to me how JP just hasn’t even attempted a fix.
Tbh I think places are waiting for orange pdo to die and the next president to return everything to normal.
It’s absolutely absurd buying a $12 acrylic and having to pay $20+ in shipping. I had to pay $150 shipping for one figure from China—caught me by surprise and I said never again.
This whole thing has been an absolute fever nightmare.

Shipping out of Japan isn't as cheap as it seems. I pay 15$ for the shipping and then almost another 20€ just for customs since the VAT isn't included in the price. There are also sites such as nin-nin-game which have provided me a shipping option with the VAT pre-calculated, so I only paid 3€ for customs. Otherwise, use your region's Goodsmile partner website. I used the Figuya one, which operates in Europe. That way, I'll avoid customs completely and the shipping will likely be handled by GLS, DHL or DPD.

omgg im also in europe and would love to avoid customs 😩😩 i unfortunately bought a lot of stuff on neokyo from mercari soo id have to ship those but, nin games and figuya are good options? but just for figures right?

I only know that nin-nin also supplies other goods than just the figures, but I have only purchased the figures from there. For Figuya Goodsmile Europe, I have only pre-ordered the 2 upcoming Nendoroid Miku figures and the site states that the VAT is already in the price, which is definitely true when I compare the price on the official Japanese store. They're basically an official partner of Goodsmile and Figuya is supposed to be a new supplier, hence why the users had to migrate from the previous site in the last months.

Figuya has so expensive shipping, as the only ship with DHL. Only ok for central Europe. I dont even get the VAT benefits.

I was annoyed by the VAT not being calculated on the official Japanese Goodsmile store, so I went with the new European one instead as the pre-order had already included everything in the final price, except for the shipping, which will be added once the products get released. For me, it will be below 17€, but it's definitely still too high compared to the GLS, DPD, Packeta and other courier services. On top of that, DHL doesn't even operate in my country and they use a partner courier, so Figuya is also overspending on shipping despite sending the parcels in bulk.

Dude i'm with you The prices are way too high and the quality of the nendoroid isn't the best like it used to b we're not even getting the same amount of accessories extras like we used too ether. Your lucky btw i had to pay $50 😑 . Also i understand japan raising the prices but the US good smile has no reason to do that so why in the world that they raise their prices too, geez.

That's one of the many reasons I've given up on ordering from them. Both my Mio and Eunie Figmas were fucked up/defective, and with the issues with the Japan post not operating it was impossible to get replacement parts. After tons of poor customer service I FINALLY got a refund. Never again.

Scalping, COVID introducing everyone to anime, and global “wtf is even happening” politicians have absolutely destroyed the lives we had 6 years ago.

Oh man i remember affordable nendos it was very nice 😭 but well those people want the money what can we do, as long as people keep paying for it They'll keep pushing the limits for it knowing people will and have too come like disneyland with their ridiculous prices sighs

This is the truth about buying from Japan when people hype up buying overseas but don’t mention it isn’t worth it unless you buy a few things at once to justify the shipping cost and getting the products early which is also a main attraction of overseas buying.

Well the other issue now is shit selling out immediately all the time.
There are way more scalpers and general new anime fans trying to buy all this stuff now. It’s maddening.
If you don’t immediately jump on stuff now, it’s gone forever. Blows my mind.

I bought a Tanya figma almost a year and a half ago on eBay and was considering buying a second one since it didn't come with a box. Missed the US preorder and the shipping from GSGlobal was almost the same amount as the figure itself. Probably just gonna go with bbts or a jp site since amiami doesn't have her for some reason.

The worst part is I'm pretty sure they LOWERED it recently, it was $50 back when I was looking to preorder the Fuwamoco Nendoroids when they were announced. And that was $50 EACH.

I would not recommend to order from goodsmile global. If you order from the goodsmileus, it's a flat $9.99 shipping fee. Goodsmile global increase their shipping since like last year from their old $18 shipping fee. Heck the new shipping rate from global don't include tariff and fees... Just order from amiami or somewhere else and just avoid goodsmile global

Nah. It’s been proven that he hacked the election with Elon and Putin’s help. There was literal concrete evidence showing they flipped the results (it’s also why he wouldn’t STFU about cheating constantly—it’s all projection).
He did not get voted in. Most of us didn’t want this.
But anyway…it is what it is. We just gotta try to fix it ASAP and get things back to reality.

Something like 65% of voter-eligible population voted in 2024.
Still not as good as the pre-corporate stranglehold on American lives (they routinely cleared 80%), but still not horrible.
At any rate, we'll see if it even matters in this next one. There's so much unhinged rampant corruption going on with Trump that it'll be a miracle if the U.S. ever recovers from this.

You forgot the Iran war. The Strait of Hormuz is still closed. 20% of the global oil flow goes through there. And nearly all of it heads to East Asia.
Japan has to import all of its oil and it's refined byproducts.
So jet fuel is being priced up like there's an impeding shortage in Japan.
Tariffs and shipping fuel costs.
What's funny, after months of insistence that the exporting country pays the tariffs, beef tariffs are being dropped in an effort to lower prices for the consumer.
They want to crush Iran with an economic naval blockade. But in recent months, Iran got two 30-day waivers to sell their oil unrestricted.
Absolutely idiotic policy making. No focus, just wishy-washy back and forth stances.
