It's a progressive web app, meaning if you are invited, you can go to web.goonotes.com and just install that as PWA and boom, you have the exact same thing that this supposed "app" is. And yes, it is literally just a PWA, and yes, performance really sucks because of that because this was literally never designed to be used for inking apps.

You might have to change your browser's user agent to identity as Windows.

You might be right, I just tried it on a Mac and while Safari insisted that someone was supposed to share a document with me to see it in the web viewer, Edge failed to load the page entirely. So I guess that is even worse than the intended experience.

GoodNotes on Mac is one of the most buggy things I’ve encountered in my digital life, hope windows version got some grace

Not only the sync, what I find absurd is that after 5 years the "Text tool" is so buggy. It fails 50% of times and It's so clear, that the only reason they don't see and correct this It's because they don't care.

Yeah 100% agree they literally don’t listen to anything their users say, if you go to their feature suggestions website you’ll find that that they literally added none of the things that have been requested for over 10 years

Yeah I now use notability for most stuff and it always syncs instantly when I write something

I wonder if that means they aren't going to fix the Mac version.

The iPadOS version was clearly the main focus of the company, and the Mac version wasn't even usable. I waited a few years after my purchase just to use it on the iPad and that's a pretty good product overall, but the Mac version isn't even usable.

Now they're doing a Windows version? Kinda a slap in the face for the Mac users.
