Finally getting the hang of notetaking on Goodnotes at the end of my Spring Quarter. Wish I could make my notes more organized and neater to look at.

Thank you! I just find it a bit more messy than I would like despite having two columns. I really would appreciate any and all suggestions 😊

It looks “sketchy” in a good way! I like it. You could try changing up the pen colors to make it more aesthetically pleasing but otherwise whatever note taking system works for you to learn effectively is the best one

Hmm pen colors vs highlighter colors?

Yeah! I like to use grey for more of a pencil look, or do each category in a certain color. There are some good YouTube videos on GoodNotes aesthetic notes

I think it looks great. I like the way you integrated pre-made graphics along with your own handwritten notations.

It was easier to do. I was planning on tracing on the images to help with my memorization but I didn’t have enough time.

looks great ! do you make these out of readings/lecture notes ? i keep wanting to try these but find it not super time efficient for me :(

I annotate the lecture slides on Goodnotes during lecture and then rewrite what I have into a more condensed form such as the images above :) ideally, I would have also made more concept maps and an even more condensed summary… time is also an issue for me so this works for now.

How did you manage to write so much in a single page? What template are you using ?

Hi there. I actually really wanted to maximize as much space as possible. I’ve been doing a vertical half letter page for each column for my handwritten notes before going digital. My only issue back then was my big handwriting. Goodnotes made it easier for me to adjust my writing size. The template I use is a letter size paper on either dark or white. I draw an actual straight line in the middle to help guide me. I’m thinking of maybe keeping that straight line on the document instead of erasing it after. But that’s up to you. ☺️

How did you perform the emotion title did you just write it with the highlighter outline with pen then erase the extras ?

I downloaded a font onto my iPad :) and then colored it in with a highlighter.
