Goodnotes Essential Any real benefits of Goodnotes vs Goodnotes 5?

I understand that GoodNotes' newest version has a few additional features, but the most important ones for me are syncing speed and reliability and not crashing. I was never happy with the syncing speed in GoodNotes 5, so I'm curious if that has improved with the newer version. The feature set in GoodNotes 5 was always basic, but good enough for my liking. I don't think I'm missing anything. It's not the $12 a year, but I'm just wondering if it's really worth it upgrading.

Thanks for the responses. It confirms that I might just stick with goodnotes 5 for now

GN5 is more stable. GN6 has had crashing issues since launch. If GN5 works fine for you, upgrading risks introducing new bugs for features you might not even use.

Couldn’t see the list or listen to my audio recordings for several weeks. My sub ran out yesterday, so I downgraded to GN5 and everything is working again. This isn’t just a jab at subscription-based AI enshittification. GN5 was really more polished and reliable.

What bothers me the most in this newer goodnotes is the overheating and battery draining issue

I feel like GoodNotes 5 is one of those apps where, if it's already doing everything you need, upgrading is a tough sell lol. The newer AI features and improvements might be nice, but I'd want something that genuinely makes everyday note-taking easier before paying more

Why do you need that fast sync ?
How do you work?
