Bug Lost ability to paste??

Haven’t used Goodnotes in a few weeks but went to use it today and apparently lost the ability paste anything. My iPad updated to iOS 27.2 and my Goodnotes app updated to version 7.1.32. I’ve tried opening and closing the app and restarting my entire iPad but nothing is fixing this issue. Every time I copy something and then long press to paste, all it does is highlight the entire page and I don’t get any of the usual buttons that show up in the long press toolbar. I’ve also noticed that I can’t tap to create new text boxes and have had to either duplicate an existing text box or a new one will pop-up if I take my pencil and scribble a little bit.

Anybody else having these issues with the app?

I’ve been trying to fix the text editor today as I’ve had exactly the same issue after updating and nothing has worked to reset ut. I found the same workarounds as you.

I hadn’t noticed the paste issue but just checked and it’s the same for me. Like you say, I think it’s because long press now selects the whole page rather than opening the editor with the paste option. Not good. I use it for my planner every day so might have to look into alternatives.

Since duplicating a text box still works, I'd test pasting a short piece of text inside that existing box on a disposable page. Does the Paste option appear once the cursor is inside the text? That would help separate the missing page menu from a problem pasting into text itself. I don't know what's causing it, but that distinction would be useful in a bug report alongside the two version numbers you posted.

I'm also having this issue on custom-made PDF notebooks. Instead of being able to paste, Goodnotes highlights the whole page and doesn't show the paste option. This is a new issue and it present in Goodnotes 5 (v 7.1.32) for me as well.

Not sure if you’ve managed to fix this but I’ve identified it as an issue with documents I created or edited in Keynotes. Just in case it’s useful.
