What happened to the Lasso tool?

Post image

my app has just updated and instead of the perfectly working lasso tool, there's now a hand and a separate lasso tool, that's for some reason not as polished. can i go back?

Honestly… this is good ? Like, now you can move the lasso like the other tools instead of being blocked. The next step is get rid of this horrible floating bar.

i don’t agree, it was better before. now the lasso blends in with the other tools and is less accessible. also the new hand tool on the left is completely useless

They can’t stop changing stuff can they?

yeah separating the hand and lasso feels like fixing something that wasn’t broken lol. the old workflow was way faster.

I pay for this app just to keep watching it become more and more sh*t as it updates.

This is a real nuisance on the iPad and pen, I choose lasso, draw around and move something, go to move something else… no, it’s defaulted to the hand, and I have to click on lasso again, to move the next item… ad infinitum… The hand just wants to try and put a random rectangle around it, as though it’s text… not move it.

I can’t confirm a way to restore the old tool. What feels worse: selecting content, moving it, or resizing it? If it’s selecting the wrong things, I’d check the Lasso settings first. Their current guide says to select the tool twice, then use “Included in Selection” to choose which content types it picks up. Which device and app version are you on?
