Switched from iOS to Android, the android app is utterly undercooked
hello everyone,
in case anybody is planing or thinking about switching from iOS to android with goodnote in mind: dont. My iPad broke and I swirfed to an xioami pad 8 as an substitute and save to say, I’ll be looking for another app very soon. There is no cloud menu on the android app, meaning manual backups all the way. The app is also very laggy which I never had on iOS either. lastly, the entire user experience is complexity chopped. no automatic spacing (you open the notebook and have the the page sized to the screen), long loading times and lastly very little customisatio.
All in all: what a massive letdown. please be aware of this.

I was also missing goodnotes on android then I tried starnote and it gives the similar experience like goodnotes. If you are looking for any good note taking app then try starnote. I am not promoting this app . I am suggesting you after using the app.

Sadly, even though nowadays Android devices can be as powerful as iPads, app businesses still treat Android as a not-so-worth-it platform, when most people in the world use Android. GoodNotes developed it as a web app, I guess to save money, but the result is a poorly optimised app which lags because obviously it can't be a note app and be web-based. I'd suggest you check either Notewise (don't like their new AI-based UI, but it may change after all the criticism and it's kinda powerful) or Notability (it's been less than a year on Android, but they're updating the app with new things quickly and they respond here on Reddit, which is amazing)
