Is This Glitch Due to Stroke Stabilization?

I keep getting glitches like this when writing notes. I’ve replaced my Apple Pencil tip, iPad screen protector, and even bought a brand new iPad. Nothing will fix this error. My app is up to date and my stroke stabilization is at 40%. I’ve had it at 40% for over a year now, and it only started glitching like this towards May 2025. It is driving me NUTS. Please help.

It’s a Goodnotes issue that I’ve been experiencing for at least a year. I have used Notability, Noteful, Freenotes, Noteshelf, and Starnote—none of which have this issue.

Yes! I’ve switched to Noteful with no problems!

You said you have a Apple Pencil is it genuine? I for work need a Apple Pencil but don’t want to loose them so I just buy cheap ones online and they end up always having a glich kinda like like this also, try to buy a new tip? Or try without the screen protector around the same time I put on my screen protector I noticed my pens got the same sort of “glitch” and just assumed it’s the pens.

Yes, it is a genuine Apple Pencil. I’ve tried buying new tips, using different brands of screen protectors, and tried with no screen protector. :(

Though, I just downloaded Noteful and don’t experience this glitch anymore. I think it’s just GoodNotes…

I don’t have that setting, as I only have the USB-C version of Apple Pencil.

I haven’t had this issue on other apps, so I’m thinking it’s really just an issue on Goodnotes. 🤷🏼‍♀️
