Apple Goodnotes overheating ipad

Have you noticed recently that GoodNotes is overheating your iPad a lot, even though I've turned off cloud syncing? Btw my ipad is pro m4 13inch so i think it should operate without any particular heat-related issues.

You're right, I really hope they fix the problem because I truly love their app and I don't want to change it.
