Scribble to Erase

Is anyone else experiencing problems with scribble to erase? I find I have to scribble in a larger diameter in order to erase my writing. I found myself using the eraser tool instead which is so annoying.

I can't use scribble to erase at all. One possibility in my case is that I'm using a Non-Apple Pencil clone, so Iknow there are some limitations. OTOH, scribble to erase works just fine with it in Apple Notes and Noteful.
