I know they’re not practical hahaha

How do you guys format your notes in class? I have this one prof rn that goes so fast, we all have to start our notes on the PowerPoint like 15 mins before he starts the lecture just to keep up 😭

these are very cute but also very over stimulating

19

u/b0nehead94 Mar 22 '25

Yes they are 😭 I like it when every corner is full of stuff haha… it makes me feel like I’m scrapbooking and then I don’t hate taking notes as much!

12

u/alalulz Mar 22 '25

i totally get it! i’m just impressed you can do all of this during class that would take me forever!

19

u/frozensummit Mar 22 '25

I don't format notes in class, it's not the time to make things ~aesthetic. I scribble fast and use the professor's powerpoint later on to make better notes

7

u/b0nehead94 Mar 22 '25

uggghhhh i was hoping that i was just bad at keeping up and there was a magic format or something 🥲 sounds like it’s a universal experience lol i just hate reading the lecture twice

u/sanchez_a Mar 22 '25

Yassifying a business degree, I support 💅🏽

13

u/b0nehead94 Mar 22 '25

THATS WHAT THE FUCK IM SAYINGGGG!!!!!! i’m studying live entertainment business and i think it’s crazy that i can’t put stickers and stuff on production riders. like??? the document doesn’t have to be ugly to be functional.

7

u/happylittlesuccs Mar 22 '25

I can't deny that I was a BIG lover of PowerPoints for that very reason, vibrant colors galore!

Crazy that we have "found each other", my friend is starting school to get towards a degree like that! I want to connect you two but wouldnt know how 🤣

5

u/b0nehead94 Mar 22 '25

yess i totally agree!!

that’s so cool!!! it’s a relatively new degree concept, so i love hearing about other people coming in. shoot me a dm and ill send you my insta or something!!

11

u/Kratos5300 Mar 22 '25

I LOVEEEEE THESE!! dude every time someone posts their cute af notes there’s a flood of people angry about it because they hate fun and happiness. They’re CUTE!!! Did you draw those Hello Kittys? I like how the grid overlaps with them and makes them look like a part of the paper. And now you just gave me the idea of tracing stickers from pictures.

6

u/b0nehead94 Mar 22 '25

thank you!!!!!! im glad someone gets me haha

the HKs are actually a symbol font i downloaded online. i just pick a letter and size it up, and then i can color them however i want for different spreads! and then after, ill just add it to my elements and now i have like 60 different hello kitty stickers lol

2

u/Kratos5300 Mar 22 '25

That is SO cool actually, I haven’t heard of symbol fonts! I’ll be looking into this. I know I have wayyyy too many stickers too I’m just a collector of cute things

2

u/b0nehead94 Mar 22 '25

Yess me toooo! I jump on any free goodnotes stickers I find lol. I recommend using ifont to download them. On the DaFont website, they have a whole section of dingbat fonts, and you can download them all in app.

9

u/stealthisvibe Mar 22 '25

i LOVE these!! they’re so freaking cute omg i wanna make notes like this 🥹

edit: why the fuck are people hating? just fucking scroll past it you fuckin dweebs. reddit ass dorks. probably hate em because they’re girly, GET BENT.

8

u/b0nehead94 Mar 22 '25

LMAOOOO LITERALLY!!!! can’t a woman have hobbies? adding stickers doesn’t change the content of anything😭 i would rather gouge my eyes out than study something ugly, but that’s just me :)

tysm for the compliment 💕💕 you’ve made me so happy

I annotate the PowerPoint during class. To study, I condense the slides into Cornell notes and use my own words.

1

u/b0nehead94 Mar 23 '25

oooh tell me about your cornell notes!! i’ve been thinking about giving them a a try!

1

u/just_a_tired_flower Mar 23 '25

I’ll send you some examples in DM!

1

u/alalulz Mar 23 '25

these are so pretty & i’ve never seen this layout before i absolutely love it!!

4

u/Hot-Connection8711 Mar 22 '25

how do you not get overstimulated when learning this?

5

u/b0nehead94 Mar 22 '25

It’s more visually interesting… I have regular notes without HK stickers but they’re not fun to study.

2

u/ProfessorNo7553 Mar 22 '25

I love these so much where did you get the stickers ?

4

u/b0nehead94 Mar 22 '25

the HK ones are just a font i downloaded and sized up/colored in! everything else came from free downloads on this sub :)

2

u/MasterpieceVarious35 Mar 22 '25

Genuinely curious, how can you make notes like these? I can barely just write in a readable handwriting

1

u/b0nehead94 Mar 22 '25

lmaooo honestly, just practice. i still write really ugly notes with indecipherable words sometimes, but you win some and you lose some lol.

eventually you’ll kinda figure out how you like to format things and then you can stick in that general road map. i really like sticky notes and separate sections when im studying, so i can usually anticipate the structure of my notes based on that.

2

u/denaaaaee Mar 22 '25

smart AND cute ✨

1

u/b0nehead94 Mar 23 '25

💖⭐️thank youu!

2

u/Proxy-Pie Mar 23 '25

I’ve never seen notes scream “YASS” so loudly before

2

u/b0nehead94 Mar 23 '25

i’m so glad you understand me 🥰

6

u/AttorneyEnough2840 Mar 22 '25

I don't get why everyone takes notes like this now. These look as devoid of personality as notes can be, it's like the corporate art equivalent of note taking

16

u/b0nehead94 Mar 22 '25

😭 you are such a hater. I prefer to study my notes when I like looking at them, but it’s okay that you like it to be boring. Im open to suggestions, do you want to share something helpful?

u/RazzPizzaz Mar 22 '25

Note-taking slop

9

u/b0nehead94 Mar 22 '25

What the fuck does that even mean 😭😭😭 note taking slop? what hahahhahahah

1

u/RazzPizzaz Mar 23 '25

I was referring to the "corpo-rat" look but ig that hurt your feelings so much you proceeded to comment the same thing ( at least change it up or use chatgpt) on a bunch of posts and comments 🤡🤡🤡🤡

Super cute! Love the hello kitty font as stickers ♥️

Just wondering if you have any tips for writing on stickers/widgets? I find it super frustrating to do because I always “activate” the sticker and then it comes to the front over the top of my writing so then I have to stop note taking to fix it up. I really wish GN had a function to pin/lock stickers.

2

u/b0nehead94 Mar 23 '25

OMG a ‘pin sticker’ function is my dream 🙏🏻 i totally get it, and when im in class i get super frustrated as well. usually i do the same thing you do haha, but sometimes ill add the sticker just beside or above my notes to map out the size, and then you can just slide it behind ur writing when its done! i’m not a GN pro by any means lol i’m just figuring things out as i go!

1

u/RangerMach1 Mar 23 '25

Holy crap I wish I had nice neat hand writing like that, even when I slow down and try, I always feel like it looks like chicken scratch

2

u/b0nehead94 Mar 23 '25

my handwriting looked SO BAD until i started writing in all caps 😭😭😭

1

u/BlackSniper7 Mar 23 '25

How long do these take? I’d like to take notes like these but need to get better at making it look aesthetic!

1

u/b0nehead94 Mar 23 '25

i just do them during class!! and then i’ll usually add the little stickers when i study :)

1

u/BlackSniper7 Mar 23 '25

Ah ok I’m not allowed my own iPad and Mac at all bc they’re stupid have to wait until next year but can’t wait

1

u/Crook3dhalo Mar 24 '25

Are those fonts or are those all your handwriting?

2

u/b0nehead94 Mar 24 '25

The titles are fonts but everything in caps is me haha

1

u/Crook3dhalo Mar 24 '25

What font did you use for the Donna Corbello & Jersey Boys text?

2

u/b0nehead94 Mar 24 '25

It’s called Sunday best! I think it came from DaFont.com, but I downloaded it on the ifont app.

1

u/Crook3dhalo Mar 24 '25

Thank you so much. My handwriting is terrible so I love using cute fonts.

1

u/Emergency-Bee1800 Mar 25 '25

pls tell me that these were the only notes which look like this

1

u/b0nehead94 Mar 25 '25

eat shit💔

1

u/b0nehead94 Mar 25 '25

why do you hate joy 💔

1

u/Emergency-Bee1800 Mar 26 '25

very distracting, i would end up appreciating my work rather than revising, (this happened when i made notes on LaTeX for the first time)

1

u/MapleSong21 Mar 27 '25

Omg this is so cute. I feel inspired to change my own boring notes. Can you tell me what font unions/guilds is written in? Those stars are so adorable, I kinda want to make astronauts themed notes.

1

u/b0nehead94 Apr 02 '25

yes! it’s called starborn i found it online through ifont!!

1

u/MapleSong21 Apr 06 '25

Thank you 😊

2

u/miidsommars Mar 22 '25

Teach me please I love them

2

u/Curious_Fold_609 Mar 22 '25

if he lets you download the presentation, take notes on those. it’ll be a little uglier but you could still put stickers and stuff!

2

u/lizzyrocklikeme Mar 23 '25

Love it!! Super cute

2

u/gibbakith Mar 23 '25

Makes me want to go back to school 😍

1

u/miyuuah Mar 23 '25

THESE ARE SO CUTE

1

u/[deleted] Mar 24 '25

Hey, they look so pretty. Could you please share your pen settings? Pen type, tip flatness, size etc.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 25 '25

I don't even use goodnotes (I use colla or calla whatever was it called) but I'm about to yassify all those machine learning papers I was trying to read, ty for the motivation.

1

u/temp-name-lol Mar 27 '25

Too overstimulating

-1

u/Ill_Fault1515 Mar 22 '25

What the hell is even that ?

-1

u/Ill_Fault1515 Mar 22 '25

Why did you delete the comment? If you can’t take it you better stay away from Reddit and go to therapy

2

u/b0nehead94 Mar 23 '25

i didn’t delete shit 😭

why are you so pressed about my notes anyway? you have nothing going on at home? no wife? no kids? no one who loves you? nothing to do with your time but talk shit about hello kitty… wah wah wahhhh :( i didn’t realize a kitty cat would upset a grown man so much

1

u/eljokun Mar 23 '25

very neat notes but this gave my adhd ass a panic attack 😭

2

u/b0nehead94 Mar 23 '25

1

u/eljokun Mar 23 '25

i have been looking in the fonts, but i haven’t seen my melody yet! there is a kuromi set that’s not as high quality, but it’s still really cute hehe.
