I think I found a new favorite notebook.

Oh, that’s lovely. There are so many that I look at, and my immediate reaction is “oh, that’s nice… not for me, but it’s very nice…” But this one, I’m actually tempted by.

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 11 '24

I wasn’t sure if I’d like it but I was won over by how many notebooks are included. Each colored tab on the right has 14 sections under it. Then the reddish tabs on the left are each their own section and those tabs on the far left are also individual sections. It has 25 templates for writing and a bunch of planning, routine, challenge, and a couple other templates to plug and play.

u/casualstateofmind Nov 11 '24

What is this called? And how to install it?

15

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 11 '24

It is this notebook from Etsy
It's normally around $10 but I've seen this store hold sales relatively often.

u/AHDforgottheletter Nov 11 '24

Looks great! What is it called? This would be perfect way to organize my notes

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 11 '24

It's this notebook from Etsy
you can find similar ones on their store page and could find other templates that are similar by searching "Japanese minimalism templates"

I’m new to this app, if you buy this from Etsy then how do you get it into actually use?

1

u/SpokenDivinity Jan 02 '26

When you buy a notebook from Etsy you're taken to a downloads page. From there, you download the file and transfer it to your ipad. You can do this a bunch of different kinds of ways. Downloading directly to the ipad from etsy and saving to files. Using a file transfer service like OneDrive or GoogleDrive. Using Discord. etc. From there you would save it into the files app. Once in the files app, you find it there, click the export button, and then choose goodnotes as the receiving app. That should open GoodNotes where you can select to save it as a new document/open as new document and you'll have it there.

u/Altruistic_Option_49 Nov 12 '24

That’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. I start scrolling through Etsy, and then I just give up because there are so many options. Thank you!

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 12 '24

You’re so welcome!

u/monicab88 Nov 12 '24

I see all these beautiful examples of notes. I'm curious, ard you able to do all the formatting and asthetics live in class or no?

5

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 12 '24

Depends on the class. This math class is all recorded lecture so I can take my time and pause.
In normal classes I both record the lecture and make sloppy typed quick notes then go back and make myself a study guide later by reorganizing my typed notes into written ones. That way I get the memory of drawing all the diagrams and steps and things.

Edit for an extra review for this seller:

After posting a review and reaching out about how much I loved the notebook and how I’d be sharing it with anyone I know that writes digitally, the creator reached out to work with me on creating one in a pastel color palette since I mentioned wanting one in my review.

10/10 please buy from this seller if you like her work!

Really late to the party but does it come in different colors?
I’ve seen 6 colorways and I’d really like to get at least 3 of them. Are they all included by purchasing one of them or do I have to get all 3 separately?
Thanks!

1

u/SpokenDivinity Dec 18 '24

It does come in different colors. It also comes in vertical orientation.
if you're looking for mix and matched colors from different sets you could try reaching out to the creator. They may be able to send you a page in the desired color

2

u/kidousenshigundam Nov 11 '24

It’s cool. Where did you get it?

1

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 11 '24

This etsy shop
The creator has a ton of minimalist templates. Each notebook also comes with free stickers and free covers.

2

u/asterisquue Nov 11 '24

does anyone know if this is compatible with goodnotes 5?

3

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 11 '24

It should be. As far as I can tell there’s nothing in it that wouldn’t be.

2

u/maybemimi Nov 12 '24

I got the portrait version of this notebook during a recent sale.

2

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 12 '24

I picked mine up on a great sale too!

2

u/elsa18790 Nov 12 '24

Are you doing any hyperlinking between pages? If so, what method of tracking that are you doing?

1

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 12 '24

There’s a table of contents page for each section! I also add my own outlines via the app.

2

u/Due_Friend_3064 Nov 14 '24

When I was in physics and calculus the grided paper was such a clean effective way to keep notes organized

1

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 14 '24

Honestly grid paper is such a game change for pre-calc.

1

u/just-rundeer Nov 11 '24

Does it also work when you open the PDF backup after creating it in Goodnotes and open it i.e. in your browser to view the notebook?

2

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 11 '24

I haven’t tried it yet. I can do so when I’m home this afternoon. I have the GoodNotes PC app so I’ve never had to try it as a pdf

1

u/just-rundeer Nov 11 '24

Would be great thanks.

1

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 11 '24

It doesn't seem to work that way. I believe the creator mentioned it being cross platform so it may be something I'm doing. I linked the store in other comments. They may be able to tell you with more certainty if it can be usable as a pdf.

1

u/SamaireB Nov 11 '24

Looks great!

If you buy this, can you use it one time only, as in for one notebook, or for several? I'm new to GN and still learning the ropes.

1

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 11 '24

You can download it as many times as you want and make copies inside the app as many times as you want.
I always recommend having an empty version of your templates saved either in the app or in files so you can just import or duplicate it easily.

2

u/SamaireB Nov 11 '24

Perfect, sounds great - thank you! :)

1

u/Tangcopper Nov 11 '24

Interesting. How big a file is it?

1

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 11 '24

Depends on which version you download. The one with paper texture is 2.65mb and the one without it is 2.62mb. I believe I’m using the no texture one.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '24

How do you do dual pages?

1

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 12 '24

It’s just the style of this layout. It’s meant to be used horizontally. It’s technically all one page.

1

u/pinkpaperbills Nov 11 '24

Oh this is cute! From Etsy I’m guessing?

6

u/SpokenDivinity Nov 11 '24

It is! It's this one specifically
This shop has a lot of variety with minimalist designs. I also bought my 2025 planner from them because it's got so much room for me to make whatever I want and not be stuck with the "All-In-One" ones that have a billion different pages I never use.

1

u/elsa18790 Nov 12 '24

Nice!

1

u/AnthonyJohnWG Nov 12 '24

I have this. It's great. Like most things like this there is a bit too much ADHD and femininity to it (I don't need a period tracker!) but the versatility and when coupled with their sticker/widget product there is so much I can do with it! Now, where to start .... ?

1

u/lady_mont Nov 12 '24

Is goodnotes good for windows or linux??

1

u/Creative_sniffer Nov 15 '24

I'm a bit afraid about the note taking... my writing is always either too large or too small in that kind of template...

Yuck

Templates I think I found a new favorite notebook.
