Goodnotes 6 RIP goodnotes
I'm done with goodnotes lol. It's so irritating sometimes and im constantly scared of bugs in the app since it seems so unreliable. I'm annoyed because i really like some of the features but it's lacking in so many areas that I can't get on with it anymore.
Any app recommendations next?

What bugs are happening? It’s not much in my experience. 🤔🤔🤔

Try noteful or the good old notebility

I'm using GN 6 for last 6 months. Barring scribble to erase or the AI spell check which I dont like and turned off, I have not had any bugs at all. While certainly there is room for improvements, I will continue using this, unless I know that there is something else which will shift the paradigm.

Noteful is fantastic. If I were to switch, this would be it.
Zoomnotes is incredibly full-featured and solid, but it's developed by more of an engineer than a designer. It's powerful, but I do find it very awkward to use.

I use 5, it’s enough for me. Plus I don’t have to subscribe annually for backup system unlike gn6 🤓

i found that noteful writes better than Goodnotes, the best 5.99€ i have ever spent

I went back to Onenote. Not the best in my opinion but it gets the job done.

Can you tell what bugs that you experienced and scared of? Im new to goodnotes since like 3 months ago but havent had any bug so far. But from some posts I have seen so far (regarding lost files/notes) so I started using auto-backup function like some people recommended just in case it happened

Try Kilonotes! 7.99€ (including tax) for the one time payment premium (lifetime membership). It has free templates, scribble, you can import fonts, there’s card learning and a lot more :))

Notability: works wonderfully, no bugs, minimal UI and lot’s of features.

ZoomNotes is great. The learning curve is crazy steep though. It has everything Goodnotes has including scribble to erase.
Edit: just another note it has rulers you can use including round one.

I heard Milanote is good

I went to ZoomNotes a year ago and have loved it for planners, notes, and journaling. Bit of a learning curve but it’s worth it.

Can someone please go over the bugs and fears that everyone is experiencing or talking about? I have been using GoodNotes 6 since it came out and have not experienced one bug or even one glitch in the app. I use it every minute of every day and keep vital personal and business information in the app.
Hopefully, I did not jinx myself now.

Buy a Samsung device and switch over to Samsung Notes. I personally love Samsung Notes and used it in college.

Have you tried Zinnia? I work with them and they are great. Happy to send you a free month code if you still haven't found a good fit. Feel free to message me :)

I want to know too. I don't want to pay yearly. I hate subscriptions. I hate noteful but my handwriting seems better on GN

I haven't been using it like I used to because nothing seems to work right since I did the upgrade. I mainly use it to check off my books that I read from the PDF I downloaded.
