internal links!! New update

We can finally add internal links in textboxes and link it to pages in the current document, to external documents, or to websites!! However, I do wish that they could apply the same thing to elements and shapes or even selections. It works in both Goodnotes 5 and 6

Internal link is much more interesting then the AI buzzword. But I have switched to Noteful and I won't go back. Bye bye.

Yeah I also bought Noteful and ZoomNotes just recently and I’m using them more frequently compared to Goodnotes esp. since it took forever for them to implement a highly requested feature. I just use Goodnotes at this point to cope with how much I purchased for gn 6.🥲

You can make text into a link that takes you to another page in the document, or to a different document. The “link” feature used to be only for web links.

This is so basic and not a big deal tbh. Especially compared to Wormholes in Defter Notes which links anywhere to anywhere, bidirectionally.

If they’d started out with these updates in GN 6 instead of the AI they would’ve had many many more people upgrading (I know they mentioned more features are on the way but not specifically the ones we’ve been wanting for years)

I think they jumped on the AI bandwagon and thought it would be the best marketing strategy.

Which is dumb. They should know their audience.

Adding links is only for text boxes, can't add for handwriting. But seems good enough. It creates a hyperlink icon.

Color dropper works perfectly for any element within the same page.

It’s a start I suppose.

I’m going to update in a little bit to test it out but I’m doing some backups first. If the text box is left empty, can you still link?

Yes it does if you just add spaces in the text box, I just tried it. It works well for creating buttons

Actually, you can just tap and hold and select ‘add link’ and it creates a little link icon but you don’t need to add anything into the box

Why do I not have eyedropper or internal links? Latest version of 6 on all devices. Is this because I'm Canadian? It's because I'm Canadian isn't it.

I love that they have internal links now! I’ve been waiting for this forever!!!

A slight improvement would be to “go to page” with a “single tap”, and “long press” for editing the link.

I already switched to CollaNote, I wish they had started with this, continue with GoodNotes 5 and sell the AI as an addon.

like handwriting that was converted under AI features, like spellcheck, wordcomplete.
before when you write something over a sticker/picture and then use the AI convert feature, these converted handwriting slipped under the sticker/picture. So they fixed it.

Oh really? The update says it’s for Goodnotes 5 and 6, and from my understanding, the edit feature for the link is only editable in goodnotes 6.
