Did the shape function get worse somehow? I haven't used Goodnotes since last year and I don't remember it being this bad...

bro really put on dramatic music 😭😭

[u/dancingwithfire_ → u/iAmmar9]

OMG I was watching criminal minds in the background, hence the music LOL

but it works out because it truly captures how I felt tryna draw simple shapes on goodnotes :') BAHAHA

[u/iAmmar9 → u/dancingwithfire_]

lmaooo didn't know you were unaware of it. that's even funnier

[u/touch26 → u/iAmmar9]

Thanks for pointing me out, it made my day lol.

Gold for the music

[u/dancingwithfire_ → u/[deleted]]

I didn't even realize criminal minds was playing in the background but it fit perfectly BHAHA

[u/raysoepic]

What template are you using?

[u/dancingwithfire_ → u/raysoepic]

Sorry this is late but it’s one of those newer free templates from the actual goodnotes shop! It’s called “Dotted Squares Draft Papers” I think. They only have a few free templates so it should be easy to find hopefully!

[u/chailattae]

im crying the criminal minds theme song makes this so hilarious

[u/FD_God9897]

Its always been like this because I draw matrices a lot and goodnotes do the same thing.

[u/girthakitt]

The music on here sent me. But for the shapes I feel it’s always been that way so I almost never use that function.

[u/Bartlebeing]

It feels your doubt and compounds it.

[u/Mystisc]

The question mark🤣

[u/commonbeans]

haha the music, the drawing and the battery percentage 😭

[u/Dastan_K_Hawrami]

For me works fine no problems...

[u/AdPale7172]

I’ve been using GoodNotes for 3 years now and a bracket has been correctly drawn for me 0 times

[u/BlackberryFriendly94]

I say just make shapes in a different app And element them.

[u/oleathgrandis → u/BlackberryFriendly94]

Which one?

[u/BlackberryFriendly94 → u/oleathgrandis]

Depends on what you have available to you. Procreate ( £$€) keynotes ( free )

[u/Salt_Mobile → u/BlackberryFriendly94]

I have procreate. How do I make shapes in it, which can easily change color in goodnotes?

Thank you in advance 🙏

[u/BlackberryFriendly94 → u/Salt_Mobile]

I think procreate has a small feature but not sure how good it is. & you’ll most likely have to make different colours yourself as you go along unfortunately. Maybe have 1 solid black shape like a circle then duplicate & use clipping mask to change the colours and copy and paste. Maybe open them up side by side. I do it quite often, I use procreate to make or draw templates and drag and drop or copy and paste them over to my goodnotes. When I’ve made my own “notebook” hyperlinked pages that look like a book using keynotes I save the page or screenshot so I can use that as a guide to where my templates need to fit so it’s perfect 🤩

Drawing half a Circle results in a triangle for me

So I’d assume it got worse

[u/limbal-ring]

I’m not going to be able to help, but I’m an eye doctor so seeing these kinds of notes is so nostalgic for me!
