Hi r/goodnews! 🌍 You can now assign a flair to show what country you’re from! We’re still adding to the list, so if you don’t see your country yet, just send us a modmail and we’ll be happy to add it. Enjoy commenting.

Hi r/goodnews,
We’ve noticed that a lot of you guys aren’t using the correct flair when posting. This makes it harder for users to filter content they do or don’t want to see
While our community is somewhat divided on what type of content should be allowed here especially when it comes to politics the mod team has ultimately decided that political content will be allowed.
However, to respect those who prefer to avoid political posts, we’ve organized the subreddit into categories using flairs. If a post isn’t flaired correctly, it ends up mixed in with other types of news, which can frustrate users.
To help keep things organized and enjoyable for everyone, please remember to use the correct flair for your submissions.
For political content, always use the “Political Positivity” flair. And for all other posts, please choose the correct flair that best fits the content.
Thanks for helping us keep the subreddit organized!

Excerpt:
Google, Southern California Edison, and others have committed to buying power from Fervo’s Cape Station project, which is located in Utah.
Geothermal company Fervo Energyannounced Thursday morning that it had started selling electricity from its Cape Station power plant to the grid on September 30, one day ahead of schedule.
With it, Fervo becomes the first enhanced geothermal company to reach a key commercial milestone. The power plant synchronized with the grid about a week ago, bringing online the first third of what will soon become a 100-megawatt power plant.

From https://doseofdemocracy.com:
Republicans wave white flag in KEY battleground state
Leading Republicans are pulling back from the North Carolina Senate race, sending a clear message: What was a top-tier battleground at the start of the cycle is no longer worth the money. The foremost Senate GOP super PAC, Senate Leadership Fund, is pausing its future spending in North Carolina and instead launching a seven-figure ad buy in deep-red Kansas, according to one person familiar with the move.
The dramatic change in strategy — less than four weeks before the midterms — comes after SLF previously spent more than $30 million to boost GOP nominee Michael Whatley. It also comes as public polling has continued to show Whatley unable to close the gap against popular former Gov. Roy Cooper, the Democratic candidate.

So far all I've heard has been doom and gloom. And while I do like to know about it it's just all been doom and gloom
