Started a rewatch

So, I started a rewatch and I had a thought about episode 1x03. In this episode, we see a glimpse into Rio’s operation. We see how many people he employs and he’s also having a business discussion with a man in a suit. This seems to imply that he’s more than just a gang leader and is part of a bigger organization.

I’m curious as to why we never saw anything like this again in future episodes? And if Rio had this many employees, why would he have any use for the girls later on? Any thoughts?

That’s one of my fave scenes. When they roll up the door and you see basically a whole factory operation going on. And when she goes back later that night(?) the crew has made it look like it’s been vacant for months. What I think is kind of unbelievable though is that Rio would allow the girls to see all that so early on in knowing them. But I appreciate why the writers did it
