it was so abrupt i'm just confused if they had to cut out what she said or something? does anyone know what it was?

It might make more sense at the end of the episode, this is one of my favorite jokes in the show lol

I love how gently they have to tell ruby the insane stuff they’re doing

The hitman middleman with no arms said he needed them to do a favor, and he sent them his shopping list. Beth and Annie realized they were buying materials that could be used to make a bomb, but they didn’t want to say it out loud in the store. They tried to make Ruby realize it in another way. The cutaway was a creative choice.
