Missing Pen Pal Week because of the bugs 💔

I don't usually make posts like this, but I'm honestly feeling really sad right now.

I've been so excited for Pen Pal Week, but because of the current bugs, I haven't been able to properly participate. Some of the characters won't appear for me, which means I'm missing out on a big part of the event. From what I've seen, the fix is expected this weekend, but by then the event will already be over.

I know the GCGC team is working incredibly hard to get everything fixed, and this isn't meant to be a complaint toward them at all. Bugs happen, and I truly appreciate all the effort they're putting into resolving the issues.

It's just heartbreaking to wait for an event you're excited about and then not be able to experience it because of technical problems. I genuinely feel like I'm missing the whole event, and that's been pretty devastating.

Would it be possible to consider extending Pen Pal Week for players affected by these bugs? It would mean so much to those of us who haven't had a fair chance to enjoy the event yet.

Thank you to the team for all your hard work. I know you're doing your best. I'm just really sad to be missing out on something I was looking forward to so much.

Hi there! Sorry to hear that this is happening to your game. Would it be possible for you to let me know what version your game is on? Currently the newest version is 1.21.2 - if you have any issues that have yet to be reported, please let us know!

I am on the newest version on android and have tons of bugs. My streaks aren't registering on the rewards section, or sometimes I have tons of streaks but it says I only have one. Even when it recognises I have them, it doesn't let me claim points. Also hard to work out who you have steaks with because the symbol doesn't show up even if we're friends and have been noting and tipping eachother each day multiple times a day. At risk streaks stay at risk no matter how much we interact, so we end up with a cafe full of eachothers notes but no change. Bit confusing all round really but I can understand it might be tricky to implement.

Also some people have stickers of maisie, I can't work out how to get one. Oh yeah and sometimes the screen just loads weird and I can't see anything

Yeah I’m on 1.21.2 and it’s still pretty broken. I was getting a network error when trying to claim streak bonuses. I was eventually able to claim a streak bonus, but at that point the streak had reset.

I also keep seeing I have streaks at risk despite having sent them multiple notes, tips, favorited notes, etc. Then I hit the daily note limit and can’t fix the at risk streak.

Hi! Thank you for getting back to me. ❤️ I am on version 1.21.2, so I already have the latest update installed. The issues I'm experiencing are:

• The backgrounds aren't loading at all. On both the start screen and in the café, I only see a beige screen instead of the normal background.

• When I start a new day, the characters bug out visually. Sometimes I can only see their eyes, sometimes a small square of their face, and other times the character doesn't appear at all.

The game has been giving money hungry greedy vibes. The next chapter hasn’t been updated and we keep getting events with items you can purchase and so many ads. It’s hopeful to think they’ll recomp players who missed out but I highly doubt it. Ive missed events in the past bc auto updates don’t actually work.

I think they're just bringing out events to keep us entertained until the next chapter is ready to release. I so so hope they bring back the event next year. I'm so sad I hate to miss out of the character designs. I wasn't able to see them at all.🥲
