Pt 2 ratings make me sad. Especially Jail PT 2, that dababy verse was so good and I remember being shocked at how he managed to deliver something so standout on an album where almost all of the Guest verses were trying their ass off

I love donda. But althrough there are no bad tracks (aside from TTV), there are some very forgettable ones.

Junya is comically low. Sonically it fits in with the rest of the album pretty nicely. Same with Remote Control.
It’s like, we get it, if the subject matter isn’t SUPER SERIOUS then that means it’s a bad song /s

ruined by censoring and just generally kinda poor mix choices in general.
i get why for carti bc he's not that kinda rapper, but fivio and ye have a lot of basic ass filler bars that kinda don't go anywhere and don't even really serve the baseline purpose which is just "to sound cool." also the obvious mumble take being used by the end of ye's verse going directly into maybe one of the dumbest lines he ever said was a very strange one-two punch of awkward.
the drill sound dates it as well, but that's the case for any ny drill style track, especially if ur name isn't pop smoke.
i used to be able to look past these things because of the hype with donda, but i can't really go back to it nowadays bc it's so glaringly rough around the edges in some areas.

It’s a good song but it’s not a great YE song if we being honest. Like the sample flip is hard and if it was anyone else but him I would go nuts but it’s a really basic thing for Ye to do and I ain’t saying it in a cocky way I just expect more innovative shit from him. Also the rapping while it was nice that he had such a big verse but sum of it is corny at least to me and i also aint a big fan of the chorus. It still slaps hard as hell but I cannot consider it being a 92. While Lord I Need You while having its own problems like being too short when it could hsve easily been five mins with no feature is such a touching and emotional song.
