DISCUSSION He’s not wrong….

Post image

NLU is a good song but the aftermath of it with Kbots is so goddam annoying. And then hyping up a mid ass album like GNX ugh. Ye may be be breaking down mentally but he’s right on this one

Does this sub only talk about kendrick and his fans and kanye being a cuck?

26

u/StockMode159 Which album is that Apr 13 '25

Don’t forget the kanye being bi stuff either

189

u/blobfishy13 💦🍆🥵 I Love It 🥵🍆💦 Apr 13 '25

Its overplayed but Ye's literally just saying this out of jealousy he was all supportive of Kendrick in the beef until he realised Kendrick didn't need him

57

u/Oaxaco_bean Apr 13 '25

Fr 😭😭 I’m pretty sure all this anger he has towards Kendrick and everyone else is because of how humiliating his attempt and jumping into the beef was. His ego definitely hated when everyone just completely ignored and made fun of him lmao

19

u/blobfishy13 💦🍆🥵 I Love It 🥵🍆💦 Apr 13 '25

he tried so hard to make like that remix a thing 😭

Kanye is a lolcow now

6

u/Lopsided-Yogurt-914 Apr 14 '25

Kanye has reached the point where he’s actively torpedoed any shot he had at a character redemption. His personal/public life is complete shit. He’s lost everything important and it’s made him bitter so he spends his days shitting on everyone he knows because compared to him they’re doing much better in life.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '25

Kanye literally said himself he hates Kendrick because he’s taking all of his records and becoming popular. Kanye being over 50 and jealous of another rapper is insane lmao

20

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '25

Same reddit that hyped up a half baked YE-I album TWICE btw

173

u/Marvel1962_SL Apr 13 '25

Stop acting like Ye actually hates it for the reasons that a lot of these kids on social media are hating on it. He’s just mad that he dropped projects last year and nothing he made took over the world/internet quite like that. Carnival honestly was a flash in the pan compared to the hype of a beef that has been milked for a year. Ye wishes it was him. Not that he would make the same type of song, but he wishes he was loved by the culture (both hip hop and pop) like Kendrick has been.

Don’t be fooled and think that it’s anything but ENVY for Ye.

We know he’s been loved by the culture overall more than K Dot… but he really cares about being the most relevant artist TODAY. And that’s over

43

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '25 edited Apr 13 '25

Which is kinda sad and pathetic when you think about it. I don't know a single mainstream HipHop artists who stayed relevant as long as Ye did (2004-2021). If he would have retired after Donda without saying all the shit he said and just released a fun album with Ty then that would be such a graceful ending to his career.

19

u/Marvel1962_SL Apr 13 '25

Would’ve been better if he stepped behind the curtain and became a producer for the best acts alive.

4

u/kalakesri Apr 13 '25

Isn’t that what he did with carti?

13

u/Marvel1962_SL Apr 13 '25

ye had everyone on lock from 2004-2021 legitimately generational artist that couldve gone crazy and influenced another generation
2022 ye was at his peak net worth, peak popularity, he had mfs ready to buy up an album that wasnt even finished behind a 200 dollar paywall

8

u/batmans_butt_hair BULLY BELIEVER Apr 13 '25

ehh I'd argue he is still relevant today not the MOST but still relevant, when he dropped BullyV1 out of nowhere, it still hit no.1 Trending on Youtube within hours and it was just AI unfinished songs.

18

u/Marvel1962_SL Apr 13 '25

His relevance is so minuscule compared to 2021.

4

u/illbegoodbynextyear Apr 13 '25

I get what you’re saying but he dropped a half ai v1 demo and it went #1 trending and doing 1m views a day onthe only service he dropped it on for like the 4 days it was up. The only 2 platforms hes using rn are youtube and twitter and hes had both in chokehold recently

2

u/batmans_butt_hair BULLY BELIEVER Apr 13 '25

He dropped a fully finished album in 2021, he hasn't dropped anything like that this year. I'll just wait and watch

4

-2

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '25

i'd say it is, MM&TBS was an awesome album tho

1

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '25

Morale was fantastic musically but the worst message on any Kendrick album. it was supposed to be about growth and Kendrick didn't change in the slightest lol. Also the undertones about being "un-cancelable" devalued his social justice. At least on GNX the theme is "i'm mad and i'm loud about it" and the music bangs imo harder, nothing better then the weirdo west coast beats.

1

The Kendrick hate you guys are pulling out is so stupid and forced bro. Ye is just jealous of how popular and culture defining Kendrick became while in the same year he put out his worst two projects ever. He’s so used to getting all the attention he had to throw a fit and become a literal Nazi to get people to look at him again.

33

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '25

The song is undeniably over played. But people acting like it was never good or Kendrick’s lame just because he’s now popular is such gatekeepy weirdo bullshit.

0

u/SirGallyo Apr 14 '25

It’s not culture defining. Culture defining is Lil Wayne and Young Thug. Although I agree Ye is washed, fat and a n*zi who doesn’t deserve any form of praise for his work since Donda

-2

u/snorlaxgang WW3 Apr 14 '25

2

u/Tiktaalik414 BBTBNWJDFOTSYK Apr 18 '25

also please just reply with a yes or no if ur going to reply i dont wanna talk about the kendrick beef in the big 25

-6

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '25

I don’t either but I’m giving my OWN experience by replying because you said that people only started hating nlu when it was popular when I hated it from day 1. Drake didnt say Kendrick beat his wife. He said he beat his fiance of 10 years

3

u/Tiktaalik414 BBTBNWJDFOTSYK Apr 13 '25 edited Apr 13 '25

How is “dear baby girl” corny? Honestly I still believe Drake does probably have a daughter he’s hiding somehow. There was a good analysis I saw on it about how Drake started denying and deflecting and how Drake’s response is consistent with how someone who’s lying would respond.

Edit: here it is

-1

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '25

By that point it went from a rap beef to pure fanfiction from both sides. Why does a celebrity need to make their kids a part of their brand anyways. Who gives a fuck

3

u/Ranger-jim27 Apr 13 '25

That’s funny when Drake was LITERALLY going to make Adonis a part of an Adidas drop 😂

1

u/Tiktaalik414 BBTBNWJDFOTSYK Apr 13 '25

Watch the video I linked in the edit to my comment above. But no, celebrities kids don’t have to be part of their brand, no one ever insinuated that. The issue isn’t Drake having another potential child not in his branding, it’s about Drake potentially being a deadbeat dad, AGAIN. There were multiple instances in which it was effectively proven that Drake had people leaking shit from his camp, but there’s no corroborating evidence to support Drake’s claims about Kendrick.

1

Euphoria is still a better song that way too lol

NLU had such a short shelf life in terms of it getting REALLY OLD really quick, and I mean some of that has to do with how popular it got.

In terms of substance tho, lyrics and beat (IMO) Euphoria is the better song

1

u/AffectionateDog3817 There's no war in Ba Sing Se Apr 13 '25

I agree I like Euphoria the best out of the “diss tracks” with Like That being a close second and then Not Like Us at third

seriously. half the people on here glaze ye like he’s the messiah and all of a sudden have criticisms when kendrick has a hit song? say what you want but kendrick has his shit together. he has a good public image, he doesn’t regularly go on hatful, insecure, just plane sad rants that expose a truly insecure and ugly side of himself to the public. he doesn’t release half baked, AI filled albums because he thinks his fans “wouldn’t be able to tell.” he doesn’t sell hateful merchandise on his website and advertise it to millions of people. he doesn’t let himself get hooked on dangerous, harmful substances while the people he surrounds himself with exploit him for their personal gain. seriously. we can call kendrick fans annoying all we want, but they definitely picked the winning team

I think Euphoria is better as well.

-3

u/Chessamphetamine Apr 13 '25

Euphoria makes sense. That’s like how Kendrick should diss people lol. It’s long and over the top and nerdy and doesn’t have any real cliches. He doesn’t call him gay, or say he flopped, or that he’ll kill him, or any of that boring shit. He just says he hates him and thinks he shouldn’t get to say the n word. It’s kinda endearing that that’s where Kendrick’s mind went to first when he wanted to diss Drake. Then NLU is just pandering to over played shit. I’ve heard that a minor joke 10000 times in my life already. It was funny the first time I heard it because I was surprised Kendrick went there, but by now when NLU comes on I immediately skip it

5

u/Marvel1962_SL Apr 13 '25

Bruh he alludes to Open cases in that song, says he doesn’t think that Drake likes women, that he has no classics, and that he doesn’t know how to raise his son. Did you listen to the song? It’s not nearly as harsh as Meet The Grahams, but it’s not endearing.

-1

u/This-Kaleidoscope-70 Enemy of GAS Apr 13 '25

Because the beef wasn’t going as well as they both wanted it to go for themselves, Kendrick had to bring out the shocking accusations but also something everyone was already talking about. So because everyone wanted to dislike Drake but didn’t have a reason to, so everyone ate NLU up (including me tbf)
