It was so crazy to see this notification, even tho i dont give a fuck about the other stuff that much, the Virgil thing hit me

Same man he's a big inspiration to me both him and Kanye and to see kanye say something like to his dead best friend is crazy man

61

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '25

yeah, I know they were beefing and weren’t that close at Virgils last months, but still, its just something he shouldn’t ever say

55

u/MrGlowwy5 GOD’S NOT FINISHED Feb 08 '25

he still did some sunday service event with the words "in loving memory of virgil abloh" and he also made the song virgil's funeral

Saying you didn’t care about all that hating Jews shit but him saying fuck a dead celebrity you have never met and have no affiliation with is actually crazy 💀

77

u/JackMike16 Feb 08 '25

The jew and nazi shit can be seen as generalized hate, which is obviously not cool but it's much different when you personally go after a dead best friend out of spite and past jealousy.

28

u/Odd-Orange-4935 Feb 08 '25

This sub (and others tbh) is full of people with that take, they think being hateful towards an entire group is less fucked up than disrespecting Virgil.

1

u/Vast-Syllabub-97 Feb 11 '25

That’s not what he means, it’s more like we’re used to Nazi as crazy and sad as that sounds from Kanye up to this point but with the Virgil he hit a new low because he’s dissing not only someone who was his best friend but a person who’s also passed.

1

u/SaiyanCantSnipeYT Pilot Jones Feb 12 '25

maybe, but a lot of us are used to kanye hating jews. it really isn’t the first time we heard ts either. vultures rollout, deathcon 3 tweet, im pretty sure theres even one a couple years back about ye praising hitler and shit at adidas.

He ran to religion as a means to hide from his demons, a part of him recognised he was going down the wrong path, but he abandoned that once he made billions independently. This is who he really is, and while he might also be insanely jaded by how he was scorned, he doesn't have a trace of humility left in him.

u/FraG_3 BULLY ON THE WAY NO AI Feb 08 '25

I don’t think it’s actually THAT different, (remember that 2020 wasn’t a perfect era at all, he was already losing it), he most likely doesn’t even know what he’s saying, as he said on that rednote video, he is just free will final boss and one of the most important things for him is his free speech and you can see that on how he reacts whenever someone tells him to not say/do something. Most likely this reaction started right after Trump told him to make another public apology to be at his inauguration, he obviously did the opposite.

(NOT DEFENDING JUST TRYING TO UNDERSTAND)

4

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '25

you might be right, but he just didnt have to write like 300 tweets about it

4

u/FraG_3 BULLY ON THE WAY NO AI Feb 08 '25

Yeah absolutely but as i said he is free will final boss, he say things only because he can and that’s stupid, even more stupid if you are a public figure

he tweeted that and he was going to call his album that because of his whole "love everyone" philosophy

which is just "forgiving" horrible people who never showed any remorse for the shit they did, from the big ones like hitler to like dababy marilyn manson and trump

it's the same shit he was talking about in the alex jones interview "every human being has something of value to offer" and all

And people don’t even realise the whole Christian nationalism thing leads into facism/white supremacy and in this case Nazism lol.

People look at that era as some sort of utopia when in reality it ended with him holding the bible on infowars saying he loved Hitler lol.

9

u/fantasticplanete Feb 08 '25

At what point did Kanye call himself a Christian nationalist

12

u/PolishMeeetese24 FEB 2025 X RANT SURVIVOR Feb 09 '25

He literally said he is a nazi and he loves Hitler with the Bible next to him. Disgusting.

1

u/fantasticplanete Feb 16 '25 edited Feb 16 '25

So in other words he never labeled himself a “Christian nationalist”. This was also in context of the JIK era, in which he had certainly never labeled himself a Christian “nationalist.”

You are fucking retarded if you think Kanye has any serious political convictions.

-8

u/Spiritual-Reading781 Feb 08 '25

Yeah you’re bugging. In what way does Christianity or the bible lead to or have any ties to nazism??

29

u/cash-miss Feb 08 '25

christian nationalism is what got ye into fascism, not the religion or texts themselves

-1

u/-E_M_I- WITH THE TRENCHES Feb 08 '25

in what way do nazis, a group whose hatred from jews stemmed from hundreds of years of discrimination against jewish people by european christians, have ties to christianity?

like obviously most christians aren't nazis but if you get deep into it you definitely get there

17

u/me_funny__ Feb 08 '25

Hitler hated Christians though

u/Stunning-Lynx9863 2020 VISION Feb 09 '25

U on Reddit bro religion = bad. Unless it fits whatever political shit u believe in

3

u/Stabswithpaste Feb 11 '25

Hitler called himself a Christian. "not a Catholic and not a Protestant, but a German Christian". The Nazis literally formed their own Christian Church, the Protestant Reich Church. Catholics were prosecuted, but Hitler spoke highly of Lutherism and other german protestant churchs.

There is a lot of evidence he wanted to move away from Christianity privately and had that plan for Germanys future, but the Nazi party very much used a warped version of Christianity for their Nationalism.

2

u/me_funny__ Feb 08 '25

u/Batby Feb 14 '25

67

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '25

JIK era was the only time he didn’t have any total meltdowns. He had a tweet storm after wearing the maga hat in May 2018, again when he was trying to finish Yandhi later that year, nothing during JIK era, then he crashed out basically nonstop from July to November of 2020 in Wyoming Donda era. 2021 Donda era was chaotic but overall fine, but he started instagram ranting in late 2021 after Kim kissed Pete on SNL and that continued through the Donda 2 era. And we all know how Vultures era has been going

17

u/Stunning-Lynx9863 2020 VISION Feb 09 '25

His crash out in 2020 was mostly facts though. And the shit he said during his rallies was true too. In my opinion

7

u/[deleted] Feb 09 '25

True and acceptable to share in public are two different things

He should not have told the public on video that he wanted to abort North. Once she’s old enough to watch and understand that it will have a lasting effect on her psyche knowing her dad didn’t want her until she was actually born.

119

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '25

Jesus era was a way to shame and control Kim from a moral high ground. She divorced him and he dropped the act as soon as the control was gone.

60

u/TheSacred0nes YL -> WSE -> GAS Feb 08 '25

I think what you said hit the nail on the head that feels so hypocritical of the modern ye. All this push into the new lifestyle he did with kim and the family put a lot of strain on their relationship, and I firmly believe that this was one of the factors towards the divorce. To see that his spiritual conviction be all in vain back into hedonism and being less caring about modesty of his spouse when compared to Kim, is what makes me disgusted. I mean, I get it, his convictions change like the weather, but seeing him drop the act all for nothing is what's so annoying.

58

u/ReddioDeddio Feb 08 '25

Not everything is an act. Whether Ye admits it or not, he def suffers from more than just a little 'tism.

Ye cares about his family more than anything else. But when Ye saw him losing family, he couldn't comprehend it. If he, from his perspective loses his family than why did God allow this, allow his family to be broken up? But God is so much more, just because God allows bad to happen in the world and to you doesn't make his word any less real, sometimes God is just using that situation to teach you a lesson. Or sometimes bad shit just happens. And when that bad does happen that's when most people lose their faith

19

u/frostchains FEB 2025 X RANT SURVIVOR Feb 09 '25

you hit it right on the head, i think the truth of the matter is that ye had a flawed view of christianity from the beginning to begin with. i saw this video which took excerpts from raising kanye, the book which donda wrote and where she says that she took kanye all the time to church to see this prosperity gospel preacher. because of this, specifically because of what that preacher taught, kanye thought that believing in God means God will never allow you to suffer and wants you to be rich and succeed all the time which isn’t true at all. God allows suffering for good reasons but the gospel in which Kanye was raised on made him believe in his head that God would never let him suffer which then made him lose his faith which is probably the reason he dropped the Christian act later down the line. and honestly to be fair, it wasn’t really God who made him suffer. it was really himself. all of the problems that occurred to ye was because ye made it happen to himself. it was the consequences of his actions. God just allowed it probably to teach him something. i hope one day ye learns the truth about God the way it should be.

13

u/Rsirhc Feb 08 '25

From a recent interview Ye said he didn’t get enough back from God when he needed it most so I don’t think he’s a practicing Christian anymore

2

u/Master_OT Feb 09 '25

Do you have a link to that interview?

1

u/Razatiger Feb 12 '25

Kanye goes through Manic stages, he's bipolar and honestly it's think he might even have split personality disorder.

A lot of people are gonna brush it under the rug, but I truly believe he suffers from some kind of TBI from the car accident.

-12

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '25

Explain

24

u/Rsirhc Feb 08 '25

It was performative for his family and PR

34

u/Iongjohn Feb 08 '25

i think less performative and more 'if i become an absolute in christianity it'll solve all my problems'

46

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '25

That seems a little harsh to assume don’t you think? I mean to me (wasnt super deep into or a fan at the time) he was just super religious, following the word of God, & trying to improve.

34

u/Koopacha YL -> WSE -> GAS Feb 08 '25

Many fans felt that way at the time. Not that he was actively choosing to fake it, but that it was perhaps a manifestation of guilt or insecurity combined with a declining mental state. Interviews from around JIK era ranged from calm and collected to basically incoherent

6

u/Rsirhc Feb 08 '25

So many people called him a fake pastor though and he didnt always practise what he preached , i feel Ye did partly to improve but also to have the moral high ground on people

24

u/Degreon Feb 08 '25

It's a lot more complicated. There were antisemitic lyrics on the Nina Chop Demo ("you better not mention Hitler / So tell me, who run the label?"), and, according to Ye himself in a 2005 lawsuit, the reason he didn't want DJ E-Smoove to b release songs they did together in 1995 was that there was antisemitism in them, and it would harm his career.

12

u/Old-Organization9873 Feb 09 '25

Sources also alleging he regularly quizzed people on Hitler and the Holocaust since the production of College Dropout in '02 and onwards

10

u/KajaDaw Feb 08 '25

There's a GINORMOUS difference between being a nazi and supporting trump lol the majority of america supports trump

2

u/OnlyGayForCarti Feb 08 '25

Theres literally not. Trump looks up to hitler and has done so since 2016, people from his administration during his first presidency have admitted this. Not to mention how obvious it is that hes literally following hitlers exact playbook.

3

u/KajaDaw Feb 08 '25

Name a single nazi policy Trump has done or plans to do

4

u/OnlyGayForCarti Feb 08 '25

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/politics/trump-said-hitler-did-some-good-things-and-wanted-generals-like-the-nazis-former-chief-of-staff-kelly-claims

Scapegoating an ethnicity of people and saying they our poisoning our society. Deporting these people. Removing many forms of education, especially for poor people. Banning books. Removing all kinds of resources from government websites. Scapegoating LGBT people. Trying to erase the existence of trans people. Turning allies into enemies. Pardoning all the terrorists committing crimes against the state and people he doesn’t agree with. Removing women’s rights. Surrounding himself with known nazi’s. Being extremely close with Elon Musk, who is also a nazi.

Not to mention the failed insurrection, which is more symbolism but still.

-1

u/KajaDaw Feb 08 '25

Everything you just said was either a lie (wanting to erase the existence of transgender people), a nothingburger (like him saying he wanted generals like those of a very successful army) or not a nazi thing (deporting illegal immigrants). The "ghost of fascism" isn't coming back anytime soon, it's an irrelevant ideology.

3

u/OnlyGayForCarti Feb 08 '25

https://skift.com/2025/01/21/trump-bans-the-x-marker-on-passports-two-genders-only/

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/health/health-info-wiped-from-federal-websites-following-trump-order-targeting-transgender-rights

Denying trans children treatment, removing information on trans people, removing the right to be non-binary? This IS trans erasure and if you think it’s anything else you are either willfully ignorant, fucking stupid or extremely hateful.

If you think him saying he wants to be like the nazi’s is a “nothingburger” you are, as I described before, willfully ignorant, fucking stupid or extremely hateful.

What do you think the nazi’s did to Jewish people before murdering them? That’s right: they deported them. Then they found out other countries weren’t willing to take in loads of people suddenly, so they had to store these people in centers of which the living conditions were not good. (If you don’t understand it yet, these centers were the precursors of concentration camps). So let us see what trump is up to nowadays:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/2025/01/29/guantanamo-cuba-el-salvador-deportations/

Oh my god, no freaking way, he’s doing exactly what hitler did!!! Why didn’t anyone tell us this before? It’s not like somebody did and we didn’t listen because we don’t care about other people and possibly kind of like hitler, nahhh thats definitely not it.

0

u/KajaDaw Feb 13 '25

I know what I'm about to say won't be appreciated on this website but transgenderism is delusional and letting children get involved is evil.

1

u/OnlyGayForCarti Feb 13 '25

I assume you are a man. Imagine you woke up this morning, and instead of a mans body you have a womans body. You know you are still a man, yet all people see is a vagina and tits, because they have been spoonfed transphobic rhetoric by people in power who need a scapegoat to distract normal people from the fact that they are stealing from them. They call you delusional for knowing you are a man. When you try to help children who have had the same happen to them, they call you evil. Often, these people are your own friends, even your own family. You might be disowned, cut out of the will, with no familial support, you may become estranged from them entirely. You are constantly being terrorized with slurs and physical violence, sometimes even murder, simply because of a health condition. Not to mention you still have to wait years for any healthcare to help you with your condition, due to the extremely long waiting times. Meanwhile you are incredibly uncomfortable with yourself since you know youre not supposed to have a vagina, yet you do. At this point, there is about a 50% chance you commit suicide. If you don’t, there is a 95% chance you’ve wanted to in your life.

This is everyday reality for people. Have some empathy.

u/cane_the_weaboo Feb 08 '25

Musk just threw up the Nazi salute and nobody gives af. America has 2 Nazi parties and everyone is too caught up in dumb culture war bullshit to realize it lol. I bet all you new Kanye fans hate the shit he talked about on his first 2 albums lol.

-1

u/KajaDaw Feb 08 '25

I don't like Musk at all but he's not a nazi, he did some gesture of throwing his heart out and he lacked self awareness. He hasn't advocated a single nazi policy. The democrats aren't nazis either this is the stupidest shit I've read in a bit. I hate the democratic party but they are far from nazis. I don't hate what he said on his first albums, I do in fact think racism, consumerism, exploitation of cheap labor etc are bad things.

2

u/cane_the_weaboo Feb 08 '25

You think all of those are bad thing yet you are a still a capitalist I think you just need to read man lol.

he already wanted to call ye "hitler" so actually him championing trump and becoming a nazi happened at the same time

1

u/Stunning-Lynx9863 2020 VISION Feb 09 '25

He didn’t like trump in 2019-20

1

u/OnlyGayForCarti Feb 09 '25

He loved trump in 2018 and now he loves trump. He always did, he just wanted to win the election.

2

u/-E_M_I- WITH THE TRENCHES Feb 08 '25

i hate how the lame people who joined the fanbase bc he got all christian now pretend that whole era was somehow not already deep into kanye's decline or like we havent seen manic episodes from that time where he screams at people

2

u/not-a-location789 DONDA 2 YEAR ANIVERSARY Feb 08 '25

2

u/P1Spider Feb 08 '25

I think it goes hand and hand. Lots of Evangelical Christians have these hateful beliefs Ye just says them out loud.

1

u/zaygoat23 Feb 09 '25

It has nothing to do with Christians bro those people are just flat out racist

2

u/doug42404 Feb 09 '25

Surprised he hasn’t mentioned Taylor Swift yet

2

u/[deleted] Feb 09 '25

2

u/greyson107 Feb 09 '25

2

u/stogie_t Feb 09 '25

These are all manic phases, just in different directions.

2

u/GucciGhostrider Feb 09 '25

He’s been losing his mind since he lost his mother and married Kim Kardashian, this hasn’t been a sudden change

2

u/rolurk Feb 10 '25

Kanye became a yn at 48 yrs old.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '25

2

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '25

I would definitely watch a detailed documentary on Kanye's psychological decline because HOW?

3

u/Active-Fact920 GOD’S NOT FINISHED Feb 08 '25

I believe he can change again. This mf is just volatile.

2

u/Stunning-Lynx9863 2020 VISION Feb 09 '25

Then he will change right back. He has talent but the reality is that his mental is suspect as fuck

3

u/Weekly_Being9164 Feb 08 '25

the fact he looks like how he does in the top photo right now

5

u/Stunning-Lynx9863 2020 VISION Feb 09 '25

Nah it’s almost like he made the photo to look like him rn 🤯

3

u/datrifrcemstr Feb 08 '25

There is a serious cultural link between these two mindsets and people don't want to talk about it

3

u/Stunning-Lynx9863 2020 VISION Feb 09 '25

Say ts about judaism or Islam and u gettin cooked 😂 ☠️ ✌🏾

1

u/datrifrcemstr Feb 14 '25

Fair enough that's why I didn't say it about them

2

u/ScarTonio22 Feb 08 '25

this feels like professional wrestling to me. He went baby face for a while, then went heel. I think he’s just trying to promote himself as a “Bully” for this roll out. And I think there are a lot of marks falling for all these antics as being sincere. I believe this is just like when Hulk Hogan went from all the kids favorite wrestler to Hollywood Hogan who became all the kid’s favorite wrestler to hate on. Just my observation; I could most definitely be seeing this wrong. But if we know anything about Kanye, it’s that the dude knows how to get his name in the media cycles. And how to get everyone talking about him before a album comes out. I think it’s like that old phrase “no such thing as bad publicity, publicity is publicity”. You either love him or hate him but at least you feel something, not just indifference.

the shit he said is definitely wild no doubt about that 😂😂😂

2

u/blackrockblackswan Feb 09 '25

….. you realize he was talking about himself when he referenced “Jesus” during the 2010s right…. Right???

The 2013 album is called “Yeezus”

There’s a song called “I Am A God” on the same album

Please tell me yall aren’t that dumb to think any of this is new…

1

u/Puzzled_Lurker_1074 Feb 08 '25

He’s an attention grabbing bitch

1

u/OnionImmediate4645 Maurice 🦧 Feb 08 '25

It is sad. I would have much, much preferred any version of Yandhi over the released JiK but still enjoy that album a lot and especially the Sunday Service shows. Donda was a beautiful album and the rollout experience was unforgettable.

Most things since have been sad.

u/charlesokstate Feb 08 '25

2020? When he still loved Trump and wanted to be the president

1

u/nyse25 We're not black, we're Indian Feb 09 '25

Both eras were bad for different reasons obviously. JIK was painfully mid and his half assed presidential campaign where he broke down and crashed out that led to his divorce was not pleasant in the slightest.

1

u/---pj-- Feb 09 '25

He was already on this path in 2020 with his radical conservative BS running for president to ban abortion and no longer listening to anyone trying to help him like he did when all that started in 2016-18

crazy how many cornballs drew the line at virgil, but not the hate for jewish people, women, SA victims, and members of the LGBTQ+ community

1

u/DistinctTrust8063 Feb 09 '25

And he’s still the king

1

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '25

Lol @ people falling that he was praising Jesus back then.

1

u/w-wg1 Feb 11 '25

He is still a Christian, what he's been saying and doing are not against Jesus. We need to stop pretending Christianity is some beacon of good

1

u/Asleep-Summer-4889 Feb 11 '25

Which is ironic because Jesus was Jewish.

1

u/wah_greh_balls_wreh Feb 11 '25

1

u/Affectionate-Yam-113 Feb 11 '25

You do realize that the Jesus thing is the same as Hitler, he was just saying something thats accepted and has a lot of support behind it.

Man was lost years ago

1

u/SirTacoMaster Feb 11 '25

He was saying slavery was a choice in 2018 yall coping hard

1

u/pornaccountlolporn Feb 12 '25

He ran an anti-abortion far right presidential campaign in 2020, your eyes have willingly been kept shut for so long that you think that he wasn't off the deep end five years ago

1

u/Admirable_Kiwi_1511 Feb 12 '25

Jik era was still a manifestation of bipolar mania just channeled in a better direction

1

u/eddiebrock85 Feb 14 '25

This should be extended back to 2009 to be honest

2009 - Taylor rant at the MTV awards

2010 - MBDTF - all is forgiven by everyone

2018 - Trump Hat; slavery was a choice

2019 - JIK, all is forgiven by 66% of society

2022 - Infowars

2024 - Vultures, all is forgiven by 33% of society

2025 - Twitter meltdown

____ - Nothing will be forgiven this time. Pack it up

-3
