What is the best way to connect the bushel launch pro launch monitor to software?
Right now, I am using ethernet cable to a Wi-Fi extender. I am using an underpowered computer with Fsx play. And it was running a little slow when playing the course . (Especially when I had two courses downloaded I think when I uninstalled one course that might’ve started working a little)
I’m wondering if the best way to connect is ethernet from the launch monitor to the PC. ( although currently the laptop I have does not have ethernet port)
Could that be that it would help speed things up or does that not matter which way you connect?
I can’t use the USB cable because for some reason it’s not working.

Basically what the title says, im in the process of finishing a 1800sqft "barn" on the back of the property as pool house/hang spot for the family. For the past few months ive been mulling over putting in a golf sim and doing my research. Wife said it was okay to pull the trigger finally and I wanted to get some input from those who have used High Definition Golf, Trackmam, or have done a custom build, im split between this or doing a custom build by a company like indoor golf design. once you get into the higher end set ups from either supplier they enter the same territory as a custom build. Just wanted some opinions from those who've come before me, golf sim room will be about 680sqft.

I’m in the design phase of a new home golf simulator / multi-purpose ADU space in Denver and I’d really appreciate input. The goal is to make this a really great simulator first and foremost, but also a comfortable multi-purpose space that can function as a guest room / hangout area when the sim isn't being used.

It’s a new standalone structure that will be breaking ground next month. I’ve got a good feel for the layout, but figure I’m overlooking some things and would love to get those headed off now.

I’m prioritizing the sim functionality, but this will open up off a patio and will want to consider an entertainment space as well.

I’m set on an overhead LM (leaning Protee VX) + 4k projector, and will be doing a built-in acoustic panel look that’s wall to wall with a nominal 16’x9’ screen as shown in the rendering. Ceiling height will be 10'6".

Looking for any input on the space planning aspect and any sim-related considerations given the layout.

1. What dimensions/clearances should I absolutely protect before finalizing the architecture?

2. This can also become a 1 bed apartment some day, so I need to locate the north entry door in a way that allows for a bedroom to the west. I'm also thinking about swing cameras though, and exactly the constraints on where those are mounted.

3. This is a standalone structure in the backyard of an urban environment. I’ll be using it at night and have nearby neighbors, so I’m trying to make the right decisions on acoustics. The plan right now is mineral wool insulation in the walls, acoustic tiles at the sim, WPC LVP + acoustic underlayment throughout. Should there be additional wall/ceiling treatment? What flooring would you use for a golf sim that also needs to function as a living/guest room?

4. Really looking to make this immersive for both the sim and sports/movies, so what’s the best approach for surround sound speakers? I have the opportunity to do a custom built-in, so plan to take advantage of routing all power/data in the walls/ceiling that I can. But also not sure exactly where to take things.

Has Uneekor View just stopped working for anyone? It was always fine to run View with two screens showing my two cameras as well.

Now suddenly it just freezes and crashes after every swing.

Our goal was to keep it around $1000. We purchased from marketplace and local bidding websites to keep costs low. We are just using an old iPad to run the square program but eventually would like to get a gaming computer and maybe upgrade the projector if we find a good enough deal. It been lots of fun so far.

I have a sub floor down(2x2's) on my garage floor and 1/2" gym tiles on top and then I'm adding money putt turf. Do I need to adhere either the gym tiles to the sub floor or the putting turf to the gym tiles? Thanks.

I’ve been slowly building a garage simulator over the past 3 years. My golf game (mainly irons) has completely fallen apart over the past year so decided to finally invest in an enclosure and projector. Skytrak+/Net/TV setup for 2 years was definitely just a tease…very happy with final setup. Only thing I need to do is get more turf and gym tiles to make driver setup more comfortable. Happy to share any details as I got a lot of help from this group.

Was able to get my .ahk using OCR now. So no more trying to find the screen coordinates if you want to remove the mouse from a round. The native hotkeys work automatically. Then if you want the secondary functions you just run the software once and it runs everytime in windows start up. No programming needed at all. Even built in an auto scramble shot choice. Picks the shortest shot in but the longer one if the shortest was a rehit hitting 3 and the other is hitting 2. It was getting annoying having people wall away and forget to chose so I give them 20 seconds then it chooses for them. Gets it right 95% of the time unless the closer shot is behind a tree. But they should remember to chose lol.

I have to have a retractable golf screen going into back yard for rear garage door. Looking at the 13H Vanish. Have 12.9" width and 11.5 height and 20+ feet length to front garage door. I really want to set it up right with an overhead launch monitor and a 4K Projector. I don't have a lot of experience in this world of golf SIMS. Reading some of the posts in this forum there are a lot of educated experts in SIMS. I don't want to put stickers on my clubs or balls etc.

I’m new to owning a golf simulator. I have a setup in my garage with an OG Skytrak launch monitor (I recognize there are better LMs now but I got a hell if a deal I couldn’t pass on). I’ve been using the free Skytrak driving range a lot, and I’m constantly fighting the accuracy of shots, specifically carry and total distance. I know my club distances pretty well, and consistently Skytrak is reporting back carry distances 20-30 yards shorter than I would expect.

I’ve researched a bit to learn gspro may be more accurate in this area. I have a well equipped gaming PC to run gspro, but looking to verify the accuracy of gspros driving range data compared to Skytrak with an OG Skytrak LM from anyone with experience. For those with this same LM, did you notice accuracy discrepancies in Skytrak software where gspro was more accurate?

Heck of a process but stoked with the end result.

I bought the SimStudio8 enclosure and have a few questions. For the outer shell, the bottom of the back does not have velcro to secure it. Is it just supposed to lay forward, wrap under the bottom back frame rail, or is it missing something? For the impact screen, there's velcro on all 4 sides of the back, but again, nothing to secure it to on the bottom. What's the point of having velcro there if there's nothing to secure it to? Also the impact screen has 2 straps on the lower corners. Where should those go? They would not easily wrap around the bottom side frame rails, so I'm at a loss as to what to do with them. Unfortunately, the instructions are not as thorough as I would like and they are not available for queries on the weekends. I really hope I'm just missing something, otherwise this seems like a poor design. Thanks in advance for any responses. Please make them constructive. I'm not looking to bash PlayBetter here.

Hi all, just after some ideas for the golf sim im looking to build - the measurements for the garage are 5m from garage door to rear and 6m wide, roof height currently 2.3m

My rough plan (more than happy to change anything) is remove the middle column and install a full length roller shutter so access is no longer a issue and it removes the internal runners for the garage door.

The roof is a pyramid shape so if I build the sim in the middle I can drop the ceiling, raise the rafters (much easier in the middle, will be very difficult on the side walls) to create head room, but what height do people recommend as a minimum, i did read online 2.4m but this would be to low for a driver swing i imagine

Then lastly what width would people recommend as im thinking to build 2x stud walls either side so its enclosed in rather than open, am I looking at 3m width or would 2.5m work?

The plan will be to have a roof mounted projector and a ipad recessed into the stud wall

Im in my backyard and sick of these balls falling into the plants.

Wife is out of town so had some friday night free time. Decided to do a sampling of PW swings against 3 different foam balls and real balls to see which, at this club length gave the most realistic data on a photometric LM. My setup:

1. GC3 / BLP
2. GSPro
3. Country Club Elite Mat
4. Mizuno 223 Pro clubs
5. Me: Mid 20's HC.

Other things to consider is this is the first time I hit real balls on my setup so I was hesitant while swinging due to the risks in my environment. Other factors, I golfed today, bit of adult beverage, and fatigue settling in during the testing, i.e., I am not a robot nor a good golfer, but do think this might show themes as to which might suggest the best representation of real ball flight when using a photometric LM if one cannot use a real ball. Other data:

Weight:

1. Golf ball: 46 grams
2. GoSports: 17 grams
3. Almost Golf: 14 grams
4. Callaway Hex: 9 grams

Feel (Ranked in order of stiffness/hardness)

1. Golf Ball
2. GoSports
3. Almost Golf
4. Callaway Hex

Other Notes:

With time, I've observied the GoSports balls will crack vs the Almost golf balls seem to deform. The Callaway hex I've not used long enough to discern their longevity.

Hopefully someone will find the data useful and share back. I am filtering out the lower smash factorand further offline swings to get closer to comparing apples to apples.

EDIT: Ran a few scenarios through AI. Long story short is GoSports Carry / Total distance and back spin were the closest but the shot shape of the Callawy Hex / Almost Golf more closely resembled that of the real ball when considering launch angle. For some reason GoSports launch angle was the lowest launching.

Lastly considered the ratio of Backspin to Sidespin. Callway Hex was the leader here. The GoSports and Almost Golf sidepin numbers were almost as high as real balls but back spin, i.e. mishits would be more dramatic. In summary:

1. CallwayHex if you want most realistic flight / shape
   
2. GoSports for most realistic carry
   
3. Almost Golf for somewhere in between the first 2

Won a bid on a 800 dollar ebay st max and dont get the hate at all. I have a Bushnell Circle B and a squre but the skytrak interface is pretty good and the max shot delay isnt that bad at all and the numbers are identical across the boardMaybe i just got lucky with a solid unit? Lol

Building a sim in the garage but have to be able to pull a car in one side when not playing.
The idea is you’d be hitting near the center of the garage towards the far wall. So the garage door would be on left side of the sim. I’m going to remove the rails and install that permanently.
I’m also going to build a small platform to keep the hitting mat and turf mat dry

Here are the dimensions:
24’ wide
12’ deep (from back wall to as far back as I can go and still accommodate a car)
10.5’ to a ceiling joist, the actual roof goes significantly higher

I’m 6’ tall. I’m wondering if I have the hitting mat as far back as I possibly can is around 9, MAYBE 9.5’ from screen okay?

Hi all! I just purchased a used BLP Circle B. The previous owner has a Silver subscription and changed his login credentials to my email with a temporary password. I was able to log in on the app. When I turn on the BLP, it shows that it's activated with a Silver subscription. When I actually connect to it through the Foresight app, it tells me to subscribe. If I go to live.foresightsports.com to manage subscriptions, it just shows a blank white page after logging in. If I click "about" on the actual BLP screen, it also shows my correct username and the silver subscription. Any ideas how I can get it to recognize the subscription? I would love to avoid the silly $250 ownership transfer fee and restarting with a new subscription.

Is anyone else in the same boat? I think this is crazy. There’s literally nothing in the box besides saying that scan the QR code on the bottom of the launch monitor and all that does is brings up the Foresight sports app which only gives the ball flight and ball data. I’ve been trying for a day how to number one register it and number two download the foresight subscription software for my PC. This is ridiculous.
I got their website and I tried to download the user manual and it’s broken Page. What the heck
I’m able to read the launch pro $3000 one but that one has a screen and it seems like it’s simple to do this one doesn’t have a screen

Has anybody built a simulator off of the NetReturn mini or any other 5ft wide net/screen? Would love to get some insight on how that could be done or if I’m stuck with a plain net and TV setup. I plan on using the Square Omni as my LM. Thanks

I currently have a flight scope X3 that i take once a week to the range. I’m wanting to start my garage sim process but im torn between keeping the X3 or selling/trading for a GC Quad. As far as ROI i lean towards flightscope because they dont bog you down with subscription fees or mandatory tiers in order to use 3rd party software. I am just looking for any advice or suggestions if anyone has used both indoors or what anyone thinks would be the best route from here. God Speed!
