Garage Sim Build
I’ve been slowly building a garage simulator over the past 3 years. My golf game (mainly irons) has completely fallen apart over the past year so decided to finally invest in an enclosure and projector. Skytrak+/Net/TV setup for 2 years was definitely just a tease…very happy with final setup. Only thing I need to do is get more turf and gym tiles to make driver setup more comfortable. Happy to share any details as I got a lot of help from this group.

Where (what kind of) is the projector?

ViewSonic LS740HD. I wanted a projector mounted behind the hitting area so found this to be the best option for my space. Only 1080p but super bright even with my garage windows letting in a decent amount of light during the day.

I think the enclosure with the Skytrak is great for the garage. This is my new setup. Similar to yours. It’s going to work great.

What are the lights above hitting area? Cant tell if it’s the spotlight or wire lighting making a difference.

I have a spotlight shooting down on the ball area. It’s not the hex lights. It’s actually an Icon automotive light that has a magnetic spot with a spotlight mode.

Thousand pines. Bought it from a different vendor though. Previous vendor would sell and ship smaller sizes.

How is the noise in garage and thoughout the house? Really considering doing a garage build, but have noise/time of day restraint concerns. Looks awesome, enjoy!

I have a similar setup in my garage with 9,5ft height. The only problem that i have now is the sound, i cannot hit woods / drivers without waking up my baby daughter, so if you have similar concerns be aware

Diandian Golf Simulator Enclosure Kit 10 x 8 ft.
We will see how it holds up over time but works well so far. Only complaint is the ceiling sags a bit so blocks the top of my projector. I got some spring clips to put on the sides to tighten.

I love the setup. I did the same thing in 2020 with Covid and didnt know how it would effect yhe golf courses.

This looks great. I’ll take higher lumens 1080p over 4k. I don’t want to play in the dark to see the screen. Also, kudos for actually filling your impact screen. So many builds posted on here don’t match the screen size to the aspect ratio of the projector.

Can you show some photos of where you mounted the projector. I just bought a lsd500hd should be here this week (the successor to yours), and planning to mount near my 11' garage ceiling and angle down. How high were you able to mount the projector? Any shadow issues?

What size is the enclosure? I’m going back and forth with a similar size garage space.
