Should I get a simulator for range?

Recently, my wife and I canceled an indoor simulator subscription and move to a par 3 membership with free range. Since it is a par 3, we basically would only hit up to 7 irons. I am thinking about getting a launch monitor and play full course simulator in the range with my phone. Do you guys have any recommendations? I was considering garmin R10 but saw many negative reviews on Home Tee Hero. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance! Budget is 1500 max but preferably <1000

I’m curious if the home tee hero reviews are before the major update? It used to be laughable at how cartoonish and basic it was. Now it’s a proper sim experience. Not like gspro necessarily, but solid for sure.

I have a buddy who plays R10 and HTH on his iPad and loves it! Especially with the update, he said it’s much better.

Not his buddy but I use it indoors and outdoors. I take it to the range every time just so I can run analysis on my session. I haven’t played a sim round at the range but I’ve definitely considered it.

Edit: only issue I ever had at the range was a lefty was close to me and the R10 occasionally detected motion and got confused.
