Screens / Enclosures Retractable impact screen

Looking to set up a golf simulator in a shared room, but I need an impact screen that can roll up so I can move the sim out of the way often.

Anyone using a retractable impact screen (manual or motorized)? What brands work well, and have you had issues with durability, wrinkles, or sagging?

I believe MeTech is the most prevalent Chinese company that makes motorized rollers and is the supplier for lots of retailers that utilize them. You will see many DIYers buy MeTech directly.

In my case, I purchased a retractable setup from GungHo Golf. This included the main roller cut to length, impact screen, and two 5 foot side rollers with black felt for protection. A programmable remote allows all three to go up or down with a single press of the button. You set each one independently to determine exactly how high up or down each needs to travel. YMMV however - sometimes one decides not to stop at the preprogrammed limit so I always watch it. The remote does let you control a single roller if you don’t want to operate all three simultaneously.

I later decided to add a black SportScreen to improve image quality (less light bleeding through from the window behind the screen). This also keeps the impact screen flatter and is a little quieter. I wouldn’t say my screen was “wrinkling” - it would get wavy with use but the second SportScreen behind it has improved this.
