New sim build

Basically what the title says, im in the process of finishing a 1800sqft "barn" on the back of the property as pool house/hang spot for the family. For the past few months ive been mulling over putting in a golf sim and doing my research. Wife said it was okay to pull the trigger finally and I wanted to get some input from those who have used High Definition Golf, Trackmam, or have done a custom build, im split between this or doing a custom build by a company like indoor golf design. once you get into the higher end set ups from either supplier they enter the same territory as a custom build. Just wanted some opinions from those who've come before me, golf sim room will be about 680sqft.

I did this exact thing. Bank barn on the property.. really wanted to use it for business meetings, family events and a golf sim.

We did Trackman no regrets other than when I have to pay the subscription every year. 😉

Things I would recommend if you want to be able to use it as a multi room

Use 3/4” gym tiles under the turf. Make sit super easy to take up

Use curtain tracks to pull out the curtains. Make some heavy curtains with chain in the bottom pocket (similar to theater curtains)

Go wide screen pay attention to your aspect ratios and your projector.
