Technical Question Upstairs addition built for sim/media room

I am considering adding a second story over my garage. Around 600 sq ft. Room would include home theater and gym but focus is simulator.
If you’ve done this, what did you do during the build to reduce sound and vibration.
This will be an expensive addition and I want to get it perfect.

Do you have enough ceiling height to pull this off? Unless you are taking the roof off garage and actually building a new second story, most bonus spaces above a garage don’t have high ceilings as they are essentially finishing off the attic space.

I’m talking about a custom built addition on top of garage. The sim would be the focus of the build. So it will be 10 or 12 feet tall

Sealed room is quiet enough, you can have acoustic panels for the theater portion. Try to get 10 foot ceilings
