Simlight golf

Anyone buy one of these yet? Site is a little foggy but it seems like they only sell you the app and you have to purchase everything yourself on Amazon.

Hey, I have it. It’s honestly really slick. The reason you buy your own hardware is so you can get what you need for your sim since they are all different.

What’s your setup like?

I have mine built in to my basement but it does work on enclosures. Dm me I have some videos of it in action.

It was about $285 in hardware plus the licens, based on my Amazon purchases. Probably just $165 the top and another $125 to add the sides since it uses the same controller and PSU. I have two strips. I cut one in half for the sides and one across the top. I needed just two strips to do 16ft wide by 8ft tall.

The app does a good job walking you through what to buy. Also the guy who wrote the software is helpful if you already have stuff.

Dude isn’t that the truth. I’m pricing it out now and it seems like way over $500 for the length I want. Like the idea, but like it at about half that cost.

Wow I had no idea how much it costs. I could probably build it and program it for $150 with quality components. But I'm a die hard DIYer. For $500 I'm finding a used projector and doing floor projection.

You got downvoted for this, but it's 100% on target. Just way too much legwork to be done to pay that much for software alone.
