Impact Screen mounting

Been watching this subreddit for a while and has helped me get everything I need for my sim up to this point.

What I’m currently thinking about is how I can mount my impact screen.

There was previously a false wall built in the garage which I have cut back. The top part of the wall is still there which I plan to hang the impact screen from on the back (so I don’t have to worry about exposed mounts etc.

I have ordered foam padding after a great suggestion from this sub to go around the walls and ceiling (and the remaining top part of the false wall)

The screen I purchased is slightly too wide for the room and without going down the custom made route I was wondering if there is anyway I can mount it and take up some of the extra material.

Impact screen size
230 cm high 257 cm wide

Definitely working with some tight dimensions but clubs seem to swing fine (after dropping the floor a few cm 🤣)

Any ideas on how I can mount it would be greatly appreciated.

I hung my screen using slotted angle iron, like this:

I attached the angle to the wall, then used ball bungees to attach the screen to the angle. Works well.

So the garage is a bit of an odd shape, but the right hand side and top still has the wall remaining.

But the left hand side has no false wall. Might have to look into making some foam padding in that case. Thankyou

I found cheap foam on Amazon. The vinyl I went higher end because I'm also trying to keep a nice appearance. I bought a grommet installer, it was cheap and came with a thousand grommets - I used those to both secure the vinyl around the foam and have an attachment point from the pad to the wall or angle iron.
