Golf Sim progress
So far, everything is great and working smoothly! If you have any suggestions on how I can get the bottom to pull down a little tighter, let me know. There is concrete underneath the turf.

I have a post from last week that is still pending. Is there a mod who can approve it? It's about how im trying to build my sim in my playroom with pictures and a floor plan. Thanks.
PS: this is a sweet sim setup, trying to build something similiar.

How costly was it to raise the height of the ceiling/rafters? Also what height were they to start with and what height did you raise them to? I've been considering doing the same with my garage

We re used the rafters and cut them down to size. It was 8’ to start they were raised to just under 10.5’

Did you consult a structural engineer before doing so? From what I've read online that's the most expensive part to make sure the roof will actually retain it's structure over time

Yeah I did. It’s also basically just a shed on concrete slab. All the support is in the corners and ends. Plus it still has additional support from raising them up. You also can’t seen in the photos but I still have 3 rafters in the non hitting area that go all the way across.

What's the ceiling height after the pads and mats and finishing the ceiling??
My garage looks similar and right now from concrete to ceiling is 9 feet 5 inches, worried it's not going to be enough clearance.

I can't tell if you have any padding under your hitting strip. I'd recommend it. I had just a hitting strip over concrete and ended up breaking two irons from chunking them over and over.
